Just wondered if anyone had any pics of their interior mods and ICE. There aint much space in a Clio was wondering how much people had crammed in. :D
Heres few pics of my 172 -

Driving home from work heading towards Purley and I spied 3 172s on the same road. First passed a silver then another and then a blue 172 Cup.
I dont often see that many maybe one every couple of days, then three at once, like bloody buses lol
Got my Mk2 172 from new at 21 and paid about £900 for the first year. Renewed it this year and I now pay about £780.
Thing is I have no, no claims and Im insured under my mums policy. Otherwise I was being quote £2000+
I think Im just gonna wait until Im 25.
I guess you could always buy a 3rd party tacometer that incorporates a gear change light and just mount it someone more obvious.
The LED idea sounds good though, just have then light up at the different stages of acceleration.
I think completely depends on how much driving you do. If you have to drive a lot each week a diesel is very practical.
As advanced as they have become I still wouldnt buy one.
I dont mind the petrol drinking Clio coz I think the satisfaction of driving it outweighs the cost of running it...
They should make it so that the light is more obvious as in they should make the whole rev counter flash. Now that would be cool.
Or have a beeper that lets you know. (Oviously so you could turn it off if you want)
Thats what Im thinking, I think Im just not noticing. To be honest when I do boot it I tend to look at the road and make the odd glance at the rev counter.
The little gear change light isnt that obvious and is on the other side of the dials to the revs.
That really is bad, as long as its only water that should cause that sort of problem.
As you said, do they expect you to dry off before you get in!! I hope you get somewhere with Renault. Just cause a big fuss.
I think I must be driving like a complete pansy haha.
Im sure its come on more times than that. Its just I look at the revs and its not like I dont put my foot down, maybe Im just not noticing it.
or Im changing gear just before the light would come on!!
What RPM does the gear change light come on? And how good do you reckon it is.
Ive done 12k in my 172 and the gear change light has come one only about 4 times since Ive been driving it.
I dont really think of fuel costs but thats probably as I only ever put in between £18-£25 max a week.
If I was doing more mileage I would probably consider this more closely. Lets face it all fuel is a rip of coz of the tax, at least with Optimax the price is due to the quality.
I have been told that supermarket fuel is not quite as good quality as the Shell/BP stuff.
Is this true or is someone bullsh*tting me and they actually all come from the same place?!?! lol
I thought Optimax was good for your engine?!
The sub in the back of mine would help the weight as well! lol
I just find the throttle a little more responsive when I just fill it to the brink. Optimax all the way as well. :D
Does anyone else feel that their Clio drives better with a full tank of fuel. I know the weight would slow it down slightly but I prefer it full than nearly empty.
I dont tend to leave less than 1/4 of a tank anyway. Whats peoples thoughts?
The front of cars always seems to be softer than the back of cars. Whenever a car hits the back of another the font always just mashes, maybe to do with crumple zones and all that.
Glad your Clio came out relatively unscathed though!! :D
Didnt Saab used to do a manual car that didnt user a clutch??? Im sure I remember that.
Is there a company that can adapt this for you? Rather than a car company a company who provide equipment for needs like this.
My dad has MS and we used to have a hoist that was able to lift him from...
My 172 is 18 months old (Nov 2003) and has literally just hit 12,000.
The missus bought her 2000 (x reg) Zetec-S at the same time and it only had 12,000 miles on it, its now just done 30,000.
Waiting to go into the Whitgift centre car park and saw a very ropey Clio Cup WANNABE!!
Had Turinis which isnt bad, had silver badges on the door (16v) but the worst bit was the Sport badge stuck under the Clio badge. Wasnt even the same font.
What with the limo tints it just looked really...
Dont worry I have Lexus lights too so nuts to all the haters! LOL
I reckon the best LED style ones are actually the red ones. The silver ones just dont look quite as right. The red actually looks like they could be factory but a bit more special. Or maybe the black ones. :D
Thats just me...
The missus dad is getting his Mini Cooper-S next week. The thing that makes them so costly is that every little thing gets added onto the basic package.
His will have leather, air con etc but considering it adds up with all the packs (chrome etc) and stuff to £18.5 that doesnt get a CD player...
I MEANT SPORT DRIVERS!! There are a million standard Clios out there why would I expect a flash of them.
I mention it as I woud assume a majority of RS owners would be petrol heads pleased to see another one!!!
That is shocking mate, hope you told them to piss right off!!
And asking £180 for them when youd have your work cut out getting them into any kind of useable condition!
Check out more Jap monstrosities!!

I think there is some kind of look they are trying to achieve on those Jap cars. Seen a lot of them with snow plough splitters, 8ft rear wings and exhaust pipes higher than the car!! Very weird.
That Vitara is mental though.
