It will defo be a red one - is it Ultra Red?
I know it makes sense to do it, but... I dunno. I need a longer test drive.
Or, get someone local with one to take me for a proper spin.
Damn you all, lol.
I think I am, I was impressed by the test drive. Not as amazingly quicker as I was expecting, but it is only 30BHP I guess.
It didn't feel massively bigger either.
Mm....
I can do the swap for not a lot of money, but do people think I should?
The main reason I am looking is my 33 mile each way commute 3 times per week, which can be a bit frustrating in the Clio. The Megane seems better suited.
What will I lose by changing to the Megane? I guess it won't...
Just be sensible with it. They can run away from you, but if you get a decent backing plate, it makes a world of difference (the 3M one)
They literally cut work times to about a quarter of that of a DA. Get one, learn how to use it and actually enjoy machine polishing. I hate DA's for...
Mike, where in Oldbury are you?
If you want some help, or to try some gear out, then my house is like some kind of ClioSport detailing booth, so feel free to pop over :)
Nice bit of Rotary action there Booshypoos, none of this DA nonsense.
Ford paint is a piece of pish to correct, gotta love it!
What do you think of the Kestrel?
You can use the same pads on the rotary
I tried to correct Pedro's bonnet with his G220 yesterday, and it knocked the swirls back about 30%. Whip out the Makita, few passes with 203S on a Megs Polishing pad, and they were gone.
Rotary is the way forward. Da is such a chore.
I'd always recommend a paint cleanser of some kind to remove the polishing oils - #80 for example is very oily, which may reduce the durability of the wax.
SRP would be fine, or something like Lime Prime or similar.
Hello folks,
I've just changed my headlights on my 197, so now I want to get a 6k HID kit fitted, but I'm too retarded to do it myself.
Has anyone in the West Mids done this before, and fancy doing mine please? Beer tokens will cross palms, of course.
Also, recommendation for a HID kit...
It might just be your technique has improved, so you are applying less? I asked the question when I went there last year, and they said it's been the same since about 2001...
If you use too much, it dusts like a ho, and can be a pig to remove. It works a treat on their red palm applicators too.
