Well I've done 20,000 easy miles in my 172 and have a load of things replaced and I never tracked it or drive it hard from cold etc. But I've had. Gearbox, Clutch and drive-shaft at 40k. alternator. Centre exhaust section and backbox replaced. Both seat racks Water temp sensor...

Once you put it on that day for a while and then leave it off, it will just let moisture from the system into the car. Just keep it to short burst to clear the windows.

I was told something like that at the dealers with my 172 a few years ago. Now I got a garage it doesn't do it anymore. Probably as it is left to tick over for a bit longer i guess

When mind does it, it has a complete dead spot at 1750rpm and bangs back to life at 2250rpm. It's great people think you can't drive. lol

Most 1*2's do it from time to time. As long as it clears once warm, don't worry about it.

A chap is putting his turbo 172 engine in the back of his. Hayabusa engine with 160bhp in a 1000kgs wouldn't make much difference to a 1*2.
