What's your favourite car related YouTube channel?

So is the thing actually finished? I can't be bothered to watch the videos. It sounds an interesting project, but God has it been dragged out.

    Best air intake?

Exactly this. If you want more induction noise, fit the fatty kit I suggested above, as it's the cheapest. If you want something that looks fancy too, buy one of the more expensive ones.

    Are K-tec spacers safe?

It's swings and roundabouts really in my view. Bolt-on ones are more convenient, as you don't have to faff about lining the spacer and wheels up with the bolt holes, but you could also argue that they're worse, as you effectively have twice as many wheel nuts/bolts that could potentially come...

    Are K-tec spacers safe?

Some folk definitely get wound up spacers. So long as they're decent quality, fitted properly, and aren't ridiculously large, then they're fine. Plenty of competition cars run them and they take way more abuse than road cars. 19mm hubcentric will be absolutely fine.

A friend of mine has one of these. It's a lovely thing, but he has had a LOT of trouble with it.

    Best air intake?

This: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Aluminium-Alloy-Hose-Elbows-15-60-135-180-90-45-Polished-Metal-Bends-/193045080435?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0 Plus a matching cone filter and you're done.

    Best air intake?

The Fatty induction kit is the best one in my view. Sounds really good and is cheap. Basically, buy a 90 degree alloy bend off eBay, and a matching Ram Air filter, and put it in. Can't remember the pipe diameter you need, but I'm sure someone will know. For about £40, you can't go wrong. If...

Some spots while working today. TVR Cerbera and Corrado VR6 at one house: Giulia Quadrifolio and Aston DBS at another: Their neighbour had one of those wide-arch Abarths with the adjustable rear spoiler too:

I wondered that, as it looks like part of a cover for something. Where should it go? I assume it means there's no filter in it

    I buy some sh*te

Not seen this before, so just had a read through from the start. I'm not really much on the whole camper thing, but it does look quite fun converting a van like that. Colour/wheel combo looks great. Got to bang that vRS engine in it though for sure.

People always slated these but I knew a couple of people that had GSIs and they were pretty good at the time. Looked decent, went pretty well, and the V6 sounded lovely.

Saw this while working the other day. Was looking a bit sorry - damage to the rear bumper, rust on the rear arch and a lot of sun damage to the carbon bits.

    Norfolk/liquid yellow.

Decent paint places seem in pretty short supply round here. I'm a bit out of touch but a couple of the RSOC guys used to swear by APVM in Rackheath so they might be worth an ask.

Just got round to watching these. He came across pretty well. Much better than his usual stuff, though that wouldn't be difficult. Would be interesting to hear more about all the algorithm business.

    Twingo GT banger

Fitted an induction kit following the same pattern as @Adeyspec used on his old engine. Also blocked off the recirc. valve so it chatters away now. Need a smaller air filter really, and to do a tidier job of the recirc. blank but whatevs

    Twingo GT banger

Got given the rear seats, so fitted them this afternoon: Weirdly, since cleaning the front seats, the inside of the car smells quite bad. I don't know if disturbing the dirt in them has caused it or something, but it's pretty unpleasant. Not really sure what to do about it at the moment.

Not sure I can justify a 500+ mile round trip to map a £300 car unfortunately 😂 In brighter news, I sorted the exhaust today. No pictures as I was a bit pressed for time, but I took the two repair pieces out and welded them together on the bench, then put it back in place and welded it to the...
