Had a really good spin in a CTR earlier. Was able to give it some redline on a decent test route:cool:
You like the 197 then Seb? I'm thinking about the Cup.
How much did you get for the 172 bmh.01?
Mines up for sale at moment, going on P/Heads and AutoTrader this weekend.
I've got SS exhaust and RS Tuning Re-map on what is otherwise standard car. FSH, new cam & aux belt, 4x new tyres on a '03 plate. Same colour btw;)
Would appreciate an...
Some people may have seen my for sale thread

The missus will be the main driver of the new car and she's hinted that a 197 [preferably Cup] would be big enough for her and I'd still have a nice hot hatch to hi-jack at weekends.;)
Anyone...
Waxing is not all about getting a better finish, its about durability and protecting the finished that you've got underneath which you hopefully obtained at the polishing stage.
No use polishing to a superb gloss and not protecting it with a sealant or wax.
Understand what you're saying...
Not a nice way to start your post.:dapprove:
My post simply concurred that 2" is suitable - end of story. A reply directly to the OP's thread.
I never disagreed that, quite the opposite. I'm not here to point and jibe or disagree for fun and dont want to annoy you over a simple...
Dont think its an RS one no.
According to BenR when he changed the plugs he said it was a normal one which should benefit from matching.
Counting my money as I type;)
:D BIG SMILES!!!! :D
Ok mate, apologies, didnt mean to mislead or mis-quote. Main thing for me was the difference in pulling power from low revs in mine and the extra revs at top end. Yours was limiting at 6600rpm iirc, whereas mine was 7650rpm. Both cars were well and truly warmed up;)...
I've always been a big fan of getting the right cables on my analogue and digital audio equipment, and a different analogue cable can make a MASSIVE difference. I originally had the sh1tty patch cables which were rough, then upgraded to a £15 cable which was better, then my brother lent me a...
Hang on a second before I "Go figure..." Theres no need to come in with your sharp replies like an ar5e.:nono:
The OP's question was about 2" being suitable. IT IS the standard cat back exhaust size, and a direct replica in stainless in 2" pipework with free-flowing silencers IS...
I have ITG panel and Powerflow cat back!:D
Mines re-mapped by Paul Murray at RS Tuning [Leeds] Don't get confused with the names. RS Tuning is a specialist tuning company and not linked to the RS Tuner product.
My custom map was LOADS better than standard ECU. Much more torque.
Yeah still there.;)
Been up to Scotland and back in it last week.
Managed to average over 40mpg both ways. Well happy. Especially as there were a few 120+ moments;););)
PS, it was washed within an hour of being back on the drive:D
The inlet into the cat is 2.25"
Out of the cat and backwards is 2".
This is the standard exhaust part sizes on a ph2 172. Measured on Angelworks ramps:approve:
I had a powerflow made which replicates the original system [what i asked for to keep it nice and quiet]
Turner will confirm that...
Spotted just coming off A1 southbound sliproad to TOTAL garage island A1/A17/A46 intersection at Newark. Driver had a turquoise Renault F1 team shirt on.
Saw you as I was joining sliproad south.
I was pointing out the driver side window going "thats like mine!!!" to the missus, forgetting that...
