In no way a sleeper but........ My Nitrous V6 with 100 jets back in 2002 ( you can just see two 5 pound bottles behind the back seats ) . Ran a best of 13.4 @ 107 mph which wasnt much faster than the orange sleeper. I blew the V6 engine as well :D but got that covered under warranty.
I have...
It was the gas yes, but to be honest the engine hadnt been set up properly to take gas. It was my second Nitrous powered car and i was inexperienced with the stuff. I fitted a digimax progressive controller to safely inject the gas in over a short period of time as a 75 jet would cause major...

£3200 :( ...... i lost interest in it. Quite a well known car on the drag scene.
One major reason was it was very unstable and it got to a point were i knew i was...
13.5 @ 106 was best time. Blew quite a few lumps hence thats why i stripped the engine out and converted it to an Audi 1.8T engine ( see Clio TT ) for more power and reliability
been on for a while - you could pick up a straight car for the amount it would cost to repair. These salvage companies buy them off insurance companies for a couple of grand thinking theyve got a bargain - they dont realise how much they cost to repair and then end up owning them for 12 month...
The original conversion i did ( 1.2 grande clio with 2.0 16v engine and 75 bhp Nitrous with progressive controller )
In summer 2004 a white EVO 6 pulls up behind me at a set of lights ( preston new rd near the old moat house hotel ) i had seen the car around and he knew me........ I switched...
2 different engines fitted to the same model
Its the F8Q 714 that runs the Lucas Roto diesel set up ( R8444B840A )
If your sure its a bosch pump it will be the F8Q 730 engine
lol - it will work
When its a little colder use a 75% oil / 25% paraffin - white spirit - kerosene mixture, whatever you can get cheaper ( the fat congeals and block injectors )
£8 for 20 lts at our local asian wholesalers
A sleeper is a bog standard car in factory guise with no bodykits / large alloys
The clio TT before it was a TT - back in 2002
ran 13.5 @ 106 mph with gas
nice conversion but shame about the kit ( 300 hp & cheap )

The last 2 with the nissan and EVO were...
Built a 400 hp clio already with an Audi lump ( see clio TT ) so its just a case of fitting the transmission and running gear and then building a transmission tunnel. Sounds easy but it will take me some time
I am seriously thinking of doing it hence this post...

Im also looking for a decent Cat D mk 1 172 to fit it into
If you were to do the conversion i would use an S3 Audi as a donor car, fabricate a transmission tunnel in the clio and transfer the entire set up. Get the S3 lump tuned to a usable power and fit a race logic traction control system to compliment the set up
