Not me unfortunately! But I did have a good tussle with a couple of 172s on the A14 on my way back! Thanks to all that came along for the weekend...I had a great time and lets hope its even bigger next year. Now - to upload those pics I took of the Ripspeed girls....!

Are you kidding? They are better than the 16vs....lock you in nice and tight for a stock interior and have good lumbar support. Retrim them in leather and youre laughing! Oli.

You can use nails in place of the prong tool...has the same effect.

I would have thought somebody like Xtreme could help you, with their laser tracking...Big alloys on a lowered motor should be right up their street (although I appreciate they are not a chain and may not be local to you!)

Been there...done that.... The 16v Magnex will fit, but not very well. The boys at Xtreme had to bodge it (dont worry, they know what theyre doing ). I still need to get a new gasket sorted out as the existing one doesnt seem to fit too well. I didnt know that they make a separate one...

I think one of the guys from Revs has just had this fitted to his car - there should be an advert for it in the back. Ties in with the alarm and SMSs you when it goes off. If I can find the issue it was in, Ill post up some contact details!

Question for mp3eee - what is the V2s support like for ID3v1 and ID3v2? The majority of my MP3s have been *painstakingly* named so it would be cool to see the artist/track name on the display properly. Oli.

Just had mine done - 2 new springs, fitted and with the torsion bar adjusted. £160 inc. VAT. Thats not a 172 of course, but if anything you have less chance of things being seized up!

Im booked into a local place next week for springs and torsion bar reset so Ill let you know how things go.... Im gonna see if theyll give a club discount - cant hurt!

You could always sell the Gfriend and use the cash to mod both cars ...then again I dont know what you can do for a fiver (christ, thats worth a slap when I next see her.....) As soon as I know what Im doing with the car, you get first refusal m8!!

Cheers for that Dazz....Ive heard that Avo are good but I really dont want to screw up the handling. Then again, at £50 for 2 or £75 for a single OEM one, I might change my mind. Anybody else got any thoughts on this? -I need to get it sorted in the next couple of days

Hi All, Just found out what the metallic clanging was from the front left of my motor - The end of the coil has broken off and was knocking about in the damper seat. So my question...does anybody have any advice on what springs I should replace them with? Should I stick to Renault originals...
