yeh, pull the grommet out, and put it down the side of it. Or else drill a seperate hole and put in ur own grommet. To get at the bonnet release grommet, pull back all the carpet and sound deadening.
looks like yous had fun! seriously considering a trip to the ring, abit more expensive for me though as ive 2 ferrys to get, better start saving!! I though taking pictures while on the ring wasnt allowed?
there no point saying this doesnt fill you with confidence in mk3's. this is a rally car, you need to realise that this has been completly stripped, and built for race purposes, most of the parts of this rally car wont be standard. More than likely this isnt the way a road going Mk3 would act in...
Id say the knocking noise could be a CV point on its way out. The biting point is quite high up, so yet thats normal. radio code you needa get from dealers.
just seal it all up all the way round while you have the liner off. youll seal the bit thats leaking and itll start leaking somwhere else in a while. pile it up with sealer, job done.
yeh they all pull off just, you need to know which way to pull them or you f**k up the clips. just be carefull, but you need to pull pretty hard on some of the mentioned parts. what are you actually doing? sealing your sun roof?
