Thought it might be a common issue, although its been owned by my dad from new and never been through a car wash, just washed by hand weekly.

:S Its never seen any metal polish or t-cut... I just tried them today to see if either would remove the marks.

Any idea what I could use to remove this cloudiness on the chrome trim of a 2001 BMW 5 series? I've tried the usual stuff such as Meguiars Metal Polish, Brasso, Metal T-Cut and nothing will budge it.

Finally got round to giving my Clio 200 a good clean yesterday. I didn't think it needed machine polishing just yet, having been looked after very well by its previous owner (I think RussZS has worked on it in the past). So just the usual wash with 2BM (Megs shampoo plus), and AG HD Wax applied...

According to those over on cliotrophy.net the struts only work poorly in cold weather, something to do with the pressures within the struts/ oil? My boot hardly stays open on its own at the moment, but it has been fine at other times.
