Its no problem. There are a lot of very helpful friendly people on here and im not saying the people who disagree with what you are doing aren't but there is a lot of anger surrounding this subject it seems. I just think it is a bit unfair to tell you what you are doing is pointless or stupid...
I think its a bit unfair to tell someone who has just spent this money that it is a waste. If it was someone talking about doing it then that would be fine (like the telling off i got when mentioning tuning mine) but to say it after he has committed to doing it is a bit much.
It is his money...
Truly a sad sight :(
It is such a shame you didnt notice at the time and reverse over them, again...and again....and again. I hope it doesn't cost you too much to fix, it is just sad that we have to live along side such oxygen thieves.
I bought my car as a 182 with both Cup packs. It deffinitely has the larger wing, splitter and alloys but how about suspension? Im not too sure. I wondered if anyone could tell me by looking at a few pics of the ride height.
Here is a link to my Photo bucket...
Thats my point really, that a few people on here seem to be missing. I am not after massive power or a straight line racer. I bought the car because of the way it feels to drive and its usability and the accessibility of its performance in a small country with largely small roads and the ever...
Yeah maybe the hub ones are a bit more accurate. Not that it matter i guess if it feels ok.
Not for me. I really dont want to go forced induction, i think it will ruin the character of the car which is 90% of why i bought it.
Thats not too much work, i already have the 182 4-2-1 :D
I like...
What mods did you do and who carried out the work? Also i know £1500 is a large sum of money but considering a sports exhaust on my brothers 350Z is £2400 it isnt too bad.
What was the milage on the car?
How can one be producing so much less? The timing must have been out surely? 173 is a...
Insurance companies clearly having a fiel day with all these 18-25 year olds. How do the people in the just passed my test catagory afford the insurance!!
I am 20 and consider myself very privileged to have one, especially with being at Uni with no Job (appart from over the summer holidays)
I parked next to an identical, silver with anthracite alloys Clio 182 on Sunday evening. Reg WA54 JXN. Is this person a member? I would put a pic on but i dont know how.
Is it that easy to improve on the Clios setup? I would have thought you would have to go a long way to make it better. I didnt realise they didnt make PE2's any more.
Yeah that is deffinitely something i want to do at some point. What is the best way?
Was 144.4 standard? There is no way even...
I already do! Nothing but Ultimate or V-power.
I'm not chasing figures really i just want a tad more from it. Just a bit, not a lot, a bit, another 20bhp or so. If i wanted ultimate power i WOULD have spent my money else where. I bought it because of the way it goes through corners and rides...
Yeah well some of the things i am going to do in the near future are ITG panel filter, Pagid pads and getting some Michelin PE2's like it should have not the Falkens it has on atm.
I deffinitely do not want forced induction, that is sacrilege. Maybe ITB's. It is after all one of the greatest noises a car can make. Just the extra engine wear, fuel consumption, resale etc.
No i really love the car, it is a dream come true. I just think it could benifit from a little extra mid range power, appart from that there is nothing i would change.
I was very tempted by the cam and remap package Ktec offer, i like the idea of ITB's too but the fuel consumption would take a...
It will be 12 months before i have any money to spend on it anyway. I just fancied 190-200 Bhp to be honest. Just so it pulls itself into its fantastic top end a bit more easily because i find it ever so slightly flat anything less than 4500rpm. I'm not after ultimate straightline performance...
Its a good job i am practically Jenson Button then.... :P
Was that standard? That isnt too bad, i could live with anything over 170.
Surely you would see more than 180 with those mods. I was thinking of getting an ITG filter, Milltek exhaust with a de-cat pipe and the Ktec stage 2 tuning pack...
Good news! lol
Yes I think it is a cup packed 182, i would rather not have all the extras on it but i suppose it makes it a better all rounder.
Hmm 170 isn't a lot. Is it true that with a panel filter, exhaust and remap you will see 200 bhp? Someone said they had these mods on a 182 and saw 206 Bhp?
Hi,
I was just wondering how the performance on my Clio 182 Cup is likely to be affected by all the extra kit it has on it. It has electric mirrors, climate controll, xenon's, auto wipers etc. It feels reasonably quick but i just wanted to know what you all thought the impact on my performance...
Thats more like it, i knew there must have been a few :D
I will pay my membership when i can afford but having just bought my 182 today im a bit skint lol
It would be good to go along to a meet and see some other peoples cars.
If you see FG54KTX about that will be me.
Yeah it is an amazing car, i would pay it twice over (if i had it lol) i still can't believe i am driving arround in a 182 Cup, it is too good to be true :D
I collected her today. What a brilliant car! I have had several cars stuck to my bumper trying to get me to race them (an EP3 Civic Type R and a Golf GTI MK5 among them) but appart from that i am loving it.
A few observations i would make:
1. If you come off the throttle hard in 2nd gear once it...
I just thought it would be good to see how many people in my area (West Yorkshire) also own RS Clio's or are memebers on here. Post if your from West Yorkshire. I am in Halifax!
