They boost from very low down or something IIRC.
Dont forget that the GTT engines are rapido upto 100mphish then fade off. Thats where displacement takes over. Not the greatest for motorway mayhem. But then we "shouldnt" drive that fast any way.
Put it this way, if you get either a valver or a valver conversion youll get bored of it in a matter of months. Youll want more power. Then youll find theyre really not that tunable.
Well they are but you have to throw money at it. Things like head work, cams etc isnt cheap.

Is it de-catted as well Mark? Have you had it RR or timed before and after?
The thing alot of people forget with the V6 is its close but I bet the Vees not ragged as much. Those V6 engines make alot of torque from lower down and through the rev range.
Might sound wierd but Id prefer a V6...
IMO they should put the Megane turbo engine in it.
But saying that I think any n/a 4 cylinder car that can pull a 0-60 time in sub 7 seconds is quite impressive. Shows how engines have moved on in the last 10 years.
If you wanna go sub 6 seconds itd need a sh*t lot more power and torque so...

Exhaust and airfilter will make feck all difference on 1/4 mile.

As for bigger brakes - is it worth it for show - theyd cost a bomb. As for rear disks - theyd cost as much as a really big bomb.
Id put a post up and ask some one with a valver in your area to take you for a spin. To see if you still want to go that route. Then maybe see if any one has a GTT conversion.
I was actually gonna get my valver lump taken out and get the GTT conversion after Diamond Geezer took me for a spin...

I dont think the disks should wharp. Think this is an old mothers tale. They can get so hot that the pad can make a slight impression and thats the feeling you get when braking hard.
My mate used to get all 4 disks on his Cossie glowing orange then whack the hand brake on with no problems.
