I dont think the disks should wharp. Think this is an old mothers tale. They can get so hot that the pad can make a slight impression and thats the feeling you get when braking hard. My mate used to get all 4 disks on his Cossie glowing orange then whack the hand brake on with no problems.

Apparently mk1 MR2 manuals in America wont start unless the clutch is depressed. Theyre too dumb to check if its in gear or not lol.
