172's and 182's have slightly different suspention the difference is the bolt hole spacing on the bottom struts - 58mm on 172 and 60mm on 182, all you do is grind out the bolt holes a bit to make them fit
its easy to do all you do is take your hub off then drill the old one out , then i used a dremel with grind inside the hole made it a little bigger and the new one fitted in no probs they are £££ from renault though about £150 each
yeah i have xeons in a dymanique the connector is the same for both cars and a straight swap dont forget some dymaniques have xeons and some 172's have normal
get t' scrapper nick all the bits from an RT, rack, pump pipework and resevoir, prob need the alternator mounts etc wont be too hard to do dash and subframe out and rack in, if you have done one before can't seeing it being such a hard job
yeah i remember when i bought my xeon units the lamp wouldnt come on the thin black wire needs to be attached somewhere but i cant remember where have a fiddle see if you can get it to blast
the hole is there on the swingarm for it but the cup's bias is set from factory, some 1.2's without abs come with the bar but as mike said cups dont, got the renault diagram if you want it pm me your email address u can take it into them
jack the car up, so you can get a jack to the gearbox or take the wheel off . better off supporting the sump with a stand or something then take the weight off the mount by jacking the box up a smidge battery out etc then get the mount off 4 x 13mm bolts and 3 x 16mm bolts on the gearbox. you...
I tested mine on the sun emmitions tester and the co2 was double what it should be, also hydrocarbon were mad! im gonna have the loom out this weekend and check that i think see if there is anyhting loose
right people, been having probs with my engine management light coming on, on the clip it shows up throttle possition sensor and pre cat llambda sensor, replaced both with brand new ones ok for 3 weeks and car running sweet, now the light is back on.

if your not driving yet dont bother as you will need to get used to a car for a year or so, get your skills up. the 1.2 16v is a nippy car too you'll have fun
At the moment the MOT tester does the test in the normal way then goes to the vosa computer puts his smartcard in and types his password, enters the cars details , the computer sends the info via a dial up modem to the vosa database and your mot is then valid so a friendly station can still pass...
you dont need to take the engine out at all just drop the subframe. i got my 182 manifold for £200 from a chap in france did all the work myself and just cut and welded the 172 exhaust to fit. and it dont gove 10bhp more like 5bhp so if you get some monkeys like k-tec to do it , its not really...
