I gave my car a good wash, poish, wax and EGP the other week and was wondering if I want to wax the car again with Chemical Guys Cherry Wax, do I need to re-apply the AutoGlym EGP.
Also do I wax the car before or after the EGP treatment.
I have noticed that when pulling away hard in first i'm getting a knocked noise which I first thought was just the tyres trying to grip.
Is it right in me thinking this is the 'Dog Bone' engine mounts???
I know you can get new mounts from KTEC.
Are these the best ones to get and how...
Glass's Guide Price on a Part Exchange would be-
Part-exchange Price:
Excellent condition: £8020
Average condition: £7270
Below average condition: £6400
That is to low, as said that is a 9k car.
A friend of mine traded his 05 Plate with cup packs and Recaro's to a non Renault dealer...
My FF172 did 44mpg at the end of a 200mile round trip to the NEC Bike Show the other week, and that was sat a 80mph.
I normally average 36-38mpg, going to and from work, 35ish on weekends.
My mate's X Plate 1.8T Golf struggles to reach 30mpg.
I had my center section replaced under warranty at 25k 2 1/2 years old.
It didn't fall off, just the 4k rasp was getting really bad.
A friend of mine exhaust lasted 70k on his 02 plate 172, then the backbox went.
I just bought a R74, 32 inch LCD Samsung TV in black through Amazon, awesome TV.
I was told that Samsung make the actually LCD screens for people like Sony.
I have only just started to use decent stuff recently, instead of Autoglym.
I'm currently using alot of The Chemical Guys range, Cherry wax, Pro Detailer + Carnauba, Extreme Gloss M Seal + AutoGlym Extra Gloss Protection & Exreme Body wash n Wax. It all comes up a treat.
I don't spend...
Sounds alot with sealant every week.
Every week and wash and quick detail the car.
Every month or two i'll polish and wax.
Sealant every three months.
People take the p*ss out of me for doing that.
50p bulb mate for halfords.
Look at the plastic lense, one side will have an indent, just lever it open with a screw driver and cloth wrapped around it so you don't mark the paint.
It's because your brake fluid is too low.
Probably check your pads, if you replace them the pistons will go back in the cailpers and raise the lever of your fluid.
Check the pads before topping the fluid up.
Corsa will be quicker mate.
My mrs was buying her Corsa C 1.2 16v SXI 75bhp a couple of years ago, we took out a 1.2 16v Clio 54 plate and it felt so much slower, probably down to the gearing.
I think the clio was a second slower to 60, but definatley didn't pull as well as the corsa.
Thanks for the offer Jon, but i'm in Bristol, only a little south from you.
Sorry guys, I don't want to clear them, I want them to show up stored on the ECU so they can fix it.
It's the ESP and service light which hasn't shown up for a week and it's going in tomorrow, I just wondered if it...
I got my car booked in on Sat with Renault, due to the ESP and Service light coming on.
It came on 3 times on Friday last week, but nothing since.
I guess there is a certain amount of start ups till it gets wiped, I just don't want to pay for Renault to plug it in and say there's nothing...
Like Pete said mate, it's your auto-adjustor on the rear beam.
Mine did the same and went really low, I could see that the arm had broken.
I had it replaced under warranty.
18,000mile service???
Is it a 182? If so, It should be 12,000miles then 24,000miles.
Needs to be a VAT registered garage and use geniune Renault parts, to keep the warranty.
The ticking noise is normal.
I believe it might be the carbon canister. The noise comes from the drivers side front of the engine, I had it replaced under warranty as it got more louder.
