Mine doesn't do it.
I know Chappers849 has had a new gearbox and 2 x clutches and his still does it and his car is the same age as mine.
I would want it fixed if mine did that, as it's got to be doing damaged in the long term?
I want to see what sort of power my standard 172 is pushing out.
Is there anywhere in the South West (around Bristol) which people would recommend to try???
I was thinking of the Toyo T1-R's or the PE2's for my FF172.
Not sure which ones though, Toyo's seem to be a little cheaper though.
What sort of prices do you guys pay??
That was me in the Silver 172, I was after that 06 Golf GTI, he didn't want to play at the next set of lights and turned off towards Yate.
So I headed back round to Emersons green and left a chavved up 3 series for dead.
The Xenons are auto adjusting, there is a little arm attached to you rear axle on the passenger's side which goes off how much the suspension in compressed by weight in the car.
Just blind them all!! Or deflectors.
Probably a late Cup Packed Yellow 182 as they look awesome and I really like my 172.
But probably a 225 Megane as it just seems the next step to take.
I do like the 350Z and RX8, but they drink too much.
That it back to Renault and explain to the them what the AA has done and get them to replace the part under warranty.
Did you get a report/description for the AA saying whats wrong, that you could give to Renault?
Mine is exactly the same in the mornings and fine on the second key.
50% of morning starts it does it, but never for the dealer.
It's back with the dealer know for the third time and they still can't fix it.
Mine's a '53' FF 172.
I'll have to mention it to then regarding the fly...
Yesterday I had a FTO trying to weld it's self to my rear bumper on the way to the mall.
I knocked it into third and started to pull away through the bends, but he kept trying to race me at every set of traffic lights and it was a struggle off the mark to get away.
My mum had a FTO MVEC...
I thought it may of been someone of here.
I normally save that sort of undertaking for when i'm on the bike, and I had a cold engine (Well that's my excuse. lol)
I had the same problem with mine when I got it, the auto adjuster arm attached to on the rear axle had broke.
It's just in front off the rearaxle on the passenger side.
The silver 172 was probably me if it was about 8:30ish on the ring road.
Did the black 182 in Yate have grey strips and recaro's, as that was my sister's. Some idoit had hit the rear bumper then and drove off in that car park on sat, B**tards.
She only just got it back from when someone...
The Silver 172 was mine parked down near quarry, I was up with a mate in one of the Impreza clubs but I didn't fancy parking in the middle of them.
Yeah, my car's always going back to SJ Cooks with problems it's booked in next Monday, again.
I normally get about 41mpg in my 172 driving at 80mph over 80 motorway miles.
A normal drive around 32 - 34mpg, which is really good, when my mate's Golf 1.8T is slower and only gets 27mpg.
I had a similar smell with mine, it turned out to be the altenator.
The smell was coming from the heating vents, try to see if you notice the smell around your altenator when the engine is running.
That seems like the general thing with the 172/182's none of the one's have been have had a smooth idle.
If you ask Renault they'll say that they all do that.
It's what happens when you have a high revving engine, i guess
Sorry to seem a bit thick, but does anyone know exactly where the gomet is to take the power lead from the battery through the car to the amp is on a 172?
