Lower ARB bush
Driveshaft
repaired my gearbox after it split the crown wheel £1k+
clutch
wheel bearing

and one hell of a lot of misc stuf like replacing interior fan vents at a cost of £40 odd quid...
yup :)
be aware though that when i replaced the fuse to see if the alarm would work.............. it didnt lol, so pull the fuse but make sure you realise it may never work again. i am at some point gonna rip the whole cobra alarm out of the car, as the problem with my intermittent...
my guessing is it'll turn pver but only after god knows how many turns pf the key, then one day it'll turn over first time, then it'll start misbehaving again, if it does this mackemalk then its 99% the TDC Sensor :D
i'd say it was the lower ARB bush, looks a bit loose and the rubbers look knackered. pennys to fit even if its not and at least you can rule that out then :)
i had the same problem on my car too and this fixed it :)
lol mine occasionally unlocks and locks and sometimes doesnt even do that, i was getting sick of having to use the key so i pulled the fuse on the alarm, now if it dont unlock then i just use the key to get in, downside is the alarm doesnt work but it stops me looking like im trying to nick it...
if i was a betting man i'd say it was the TDC sensor!!

if you've just been for a drive, turn off, then leave it a little, then turn it over again, it will be much quicker as the glow plugs and oil etc are already hot.
i remember...
^^^ its more than likely the standard fit one!
cam_hoof i have a similar problem with mine, do you mean when you try to unlock the car it sets the alarm off??
Mate got in my car last night, went to get out and shattered my interior door handle (after saying be careful cos the plastic was cracking).
now, i've been looking around for a new one and i've come across some handles that are rod or cable type, now i know mine is cable but is there really a...
went Dover to Calais, stopped at Cite Europe for a little walk around then drove to Boulogne, had a walk around the old town, then drove back up the coast road to Calais, stopping at Cap Blanc Nez then Wissant, then back to Calais.
was deffo worth it and it was cheap too, only £30 return then...
^^^ as chris said, its sometimes a bit difficult to see but its just below the fuel rail guard at the front of the engine. if you shine a torch down there its almost central to the block and is bright yellow.
get it checked asap!!
