Hi,
Was a little bored so decided to give the engine bay a tidy up. It'snot perfect by any stretch of the imagination but looking considerably better than it was. The strut top and battery covers could all do witha damn golod polish tbh as they have a few light scratches mainly due to the age...
Aup Tom,
Thanks mate, its not looking so clean now after i did somewhere in the region of 150miles yesterday, never seemed to be out the bloody car all day.
I did wonder if i was a quite system as i had a listen for it in the Meir tunnel but didn't hear a great deal of exhaust noise in there...
lol im still pissed that u stole that cup spoiler off ebay. its the right colour for mine as well haha.
Glad to here things are going well with the car mate. Will give you a little update on msn sometime with how mines coming along :)
I'll jump on this thread to ask a quick question -
My original ecu program was 8100_7803.rst.
Can i upgrade to either of the following -
8200_7C03.rst
8200_7804.rstI currently have 8200_7804 installed. I was wondering if 8200_7C03 would work and if so am i likely to see any differences?
Yup too true. Only problem is traction of the line but once out of first on a dry day this car will punish the majority of things on the road. I would hazard a guess that it is a Ferrari chaser tbh.
I had a garage seal my exhaust using silicone as opposed to the paste which dries solid and touch wood its been great now for a good few months.
Previously it would last a week, if that before the exhaust movement ruptured a hole in the paste.
It's all well and good but surely it's a little unfair as you could have a high performance sports car eg Ferrari's and the like which on full chat sound stunning..but also loud.
So why should everyone else be limited on their noise output? This doesnt effect me btw i prefere a quiteish exhaust...
Never once been asked about my car other than by friends and once by the garage who did the mot for me last year who were just asking what i thought of the car in general and commented that its a tidy, well looked after motor.
Most people think its a bog standard Clio or a boy racer car tbh...
Matched inlets, change that induction kit for a panel filter, exhaust if you want some noise and finally a remap.
You wont get masses of power though, will produce more mid range as opposed to peak power being dramatically increased. Should make the car easier to drive and will chase the red...
