Yeh but you dont use yours as a daily driver? I think I would get annoyed with manual steering day to day! Especially parking in London!
That is just to keep the PAS rack from going dry, wont give you any power steering.
I need to make custom pipes from my rack to my PAS pump when I fit the F4R into the mk1 shell. Has anyone done this before that could advise me?
Oh and before anyone says it, no I dont want to ditch it! :rasp:
Hmm, I'm not sure I totally understand that but I'm sure I will once I look at it against the engine (I have left the engine elsewhere at the moment so can't look at it!)
Where would the heater matrix come into it then?
edit: Just seen your pics, makes sense now! So you reckon the 172 "s...
I picked up aload of bits for an F4R conversion but now I am looking through it all I have realised I only have 1 coolant pipe, this 1:
Anyone got any pics of the others I need?
Thanks
No gearbox attached....I was meant to be going to pick it up right now with my dad and cousin (and the seller to help) but cousin has had to rush his baby to hospital so i am a man down and need to know if 3 of us will manage it!
LOL at all the vultures trying to snap it up!
Yeh I suppose you are right mate, I can always put it back to standard when I want to sell it if I keep the engine! Also I have always wanted to do soemthing like this so I will regret it fi I dont do it when iv got the chance!
Right now I am in the dilema of do I actually go ahead with putting an f4r into my valver! :S I really want to do it but something is nagging me about "ruining" the car, which is pretty mint at the moment. Something is telling em to sell my valver in its current condition an to get a good price...
