    Gearbox oil leak

Leaking selector shaft seal is quite common. Box needs to be split to fix it properly. As long as it is not losing litres of oil don´t worry.

If it is a 16v, tb costs about 300 but could also be a loom/ecu related damage.

    Megane Alloys?

Standard offset on a 172 ph2 is 48.5. So they sit nearly like standard.

Bypass power steering pump and AC.

My engine is running this setup. You only need to use a smaller bolts to get a bit more adjustment on the bottom bracket.

    Rear light problem

Easiest way is cleaning the contacts, bend them a little to make a tight fit and spray with wd40. Should even be "do-able" by a mechanical rookie.

Do you have to preload a car before tightening up suspension/steering parts?

Theoretically you would nip them up, drop the car and tighten them.

Do you have to preload a car before tightening up suspension/steering parts?

Wishbone bolts and rear shocks should be tightened under preload.

Bypass power steering pump and AC.

R5 GTX bracketry? If so you can do it with the standard 172 alternator. You may get better access by removing the front bumper and headlight.

Thinking of doing my ball joints myself.

Change both. Shouldn´t need tracking if the geometry was set up on a working balljoint. Bolts that hold the joint to the hub can be a b**ch due to rust, but otherwise straight forward. Time needed depends on your mechanical skills. I´d say 0.5-2h. No balljoint puller needed, you only need to...

No need for a complete 182 exhaust when upgrading the manifold. You just need an adaptor pipe (decat/sports cat).

    help dash lights :(

No, just a bit messy. Take the wheel(s) off, spray the rings with brake cleaner/degreaser and wipe them clean with a rag. Do not use any hard items on them (wire brush etc.). If that does not solve the problem get the car on a diagnostic machine and get the fault code read out.

HELP! Need to double check hub bolt spacing!

Nope, it´s the distance between the bolts that fix the front shocks to the hubs. Try to measure it with wheels on full lock.
