Ben,
take them down to your local key cutter and get them engraved, they use to cost 26 quid each but have probably gone up, thats over 100 quid for 4 if some thieving scrote nicks em.... cost you about a quid to get your reg number put on one of the fins that hold it onto the wheel.
Tony
LOL! i think your probably right Ben but i still have a very important point to make.....
When driving on badly surfaced roads, gravel roads, icy roads, or over deep newly fallen snow, stopping distances may be longer for a vehicle with the ABS system than one without. When driving under these...

A renault dealer?
I would also see about getting your reg number engraved on the edge (or stamped) so that any thieving little scumbag who wants to nick them will be picked up as you know its yours!
Tony
Ben,
Whats really scary though is the ammount of people who have had their ABS systems kick in (so driving beyond the conditions of the road!) which to me is relying on it (or just being over confident that the car has it fitted) as stated above in my post with the extracts about the ABS...

Eddd,
you never stated if you have 2, 3 or 4 channel ABS for your example on ice ;) but you would still loose traction on that wheel as ABS can only work when it can grip, on ice, leaves, snow etc, it cannot and thus you can still crash......
Tony
Ben, i just love a good argument ;) and i know that in no way is this pointed at my "arrogance" as im not arrogant but pointing out the facts that alot of people do "rely" (yup like that word too!) on ABS, so im going to state from 2 owners manuals about the said system that people think it will...

Right....
Ben, i know where your coming from, i am not arrogant though, the fact is that you also sound like someone who relies on ABS......
Work this out though!
ABS and a muddy road, no matter how slippy the surface is, if one wheel cannot grip it WILL NOT grip, that wheel will let go...

Right,
For all you people that think ABS is a safety feature and have the same thoughts about it stopping or getting you out of situations then think again....
As proven above, very few of you know actually anything about ABS.
Your only REAL advantage with ABS is in the wet, this is...
DTWD......
You are yet another "My car must be better if it has ABS" type person then?
The situation that you have just described above would have left you in EXACTLY the same position as a car without ABS.....
The reason why?
1. You relied on ABS to get you out of a situation rather...

Rob,
The stupid people are the ones like you who rely on ABS, now, one of my cars has ABS, the other one doesnt, i would get in either one and drive it without bothering about ABS, now if you wont get in a none ABS equipped car then sorry, your driving sucks big style as you are RELYING on...

Its proven that ABS does not save lives, simple fact.
ABS equipped cars have as many if not more accidents than non ABS equipped cars, fact.
I have just gone out and bought a NONE ABS equipped car for my new job, and you lot would never buy one because you cannot live without it..... so how...

I can safely say that from 120mph to 0 in my car i did not at any stage activate the ABS shoving my foot to the floor on a slightly damp surface....
The reason.... excellent tyres, great brakes and pads (ok maybe not the best brakes and pads but they do the job being brembo!)

Ok, a BMW 330 will be as quick as a clio cup 0-100, in gear though the clio will get its ass whooped big style, so next time you see one, floor it in 5th at 70mph and see which car gets to 100 first, i know which one will and it wont be the clio!

Agree with you Rob, the 106 GTi is a rarer car and IMHO looks better than the saxo.
But saying that, the saxos mid range and in gear punch are not exactly thrilling, Craggy, ill have to let you come out in MY car, then youll see what power is all about ;) (plus a bit of 4wheel drift to boot!)...
