Mk1 backbox finally fitted on my mk2 just a bit worried about heat transfer to bottom of bumper as the magnex logo has already melted off but it was only rubber.

The air box feed goes through the inner wing so remove the air box take the N/S wheel off remove the plastic mudguard inside the front wing and remove the feed to the air box on the rear of the blanking plate in the bumper there are 4 spring type washers remove them and blank comes out then just...

Apex springs lowered the car 40mm just sits nice now not to hard a ride though and has improved the handling had to do something with the suspension as my old Black 16v pictured above handled better than my 172 and we couldnt be putting up with that now could we. P.S a word of warning to 172...

I had a Magnex on my old 16V but always wanted a Devil system as theyre highly rated but kept my wedge and bought a 172 instead.

Bought the springs from Revolution they do mail order tel 0191 4770785 I dont know how to post pics but Im sure Geordiepaul will post them as hes got some pics of my Motor.

Just dropped mine last week 40mm on apex springs £92 hope this helps.

Cheers for that Jase Ive just measured mine and the bumper is 13" from bottom of the hatch to the bottom edge doesnt look like its going to fit back to the drawing board it is then.

The motor is now lowerer 40mm with Apex springs and has a set of Ace 197s 17" on and is looking well smart but still waiting for that lovely 6*4 oval Magnex which will be purchaced as soon as someone tells me it fits.
