This is probably a stupid question and answered many times, but are ph2 rear lights literally a straight swap for ph1s? Anything required other than the cluster itself?
Mine (with me in it, on the Nurburgring) :D I do miss it, but the Clio is such fun, much faster and smoother! Haven't had a chance to test the handling yet mind...
Edit: Sorry, completely off topic
A day in the local French Car garage, £540 later and I have a new cambelt kit & water pump, I initially asked them to the aux too as I don't have much history for the car but they said it looks new so let it be!
I feel much happier driving it now, cambelt was overdue so I was always worried it...
+1!
Although saying that, the same didn't work for the Peugeot 309 GTi (my last car!) - it's the ugly sister of the 205 and only real Pug fans are into them it seems...
If it becomes a classic it'll be a while before it does, for now it's just an amazing bargain ^_^
As for quantity, there are...
*warning: crappy phone pic!*
De-snowed the Clio to get to work today, kept looking at it in the carpark and smiling, I love the grins a new car brings :D Just needs a name!
FYI, an MOT and the law are different. There are many things which will pass one and fall foul of the other, numberplates included >_<
Police here are normally pretty easy-going although will be a bummer if you do get pulled. Only thing I'd say is don't drive abroad with them. In Europe they...
Unlicenced means it's not taxed at all (OTR or SORN), this is what shows up when a car is on SORN (just done a check on one of our cars!):
Date of Liability 01 10 2011
Vehicle Status SORN Not Due
So chances are it's actually dead :( - or being...
First photos of my 172 ph1! Bought it on Thursday :D ... Barely been able to drive it, keeping it safe on the driveway!! Tucked in between two houses, a poorly 205 GTi, and the crappy diesel 106 which is the only car we're willing to risk on the roads, and a very good job it does too :rasp:
Woop! I'm in AY, so about half an hour from you.
Does anyone on here go to Ace Cafe performance French nights?? I see a few Clios sometimes but V6s mainly, I've been in my 309 Goodwood for most of this year's meets if anyone's spotted it ^_^
I've had a quote from Bucks Renaults (independent but specialist garage) of £546, and another from a local independent French Car Garage who have always sorted my old Pugs out of £400.
God only knows what Renault themselves want for it, I don't know where my "local" Renault garage is though...
Jeez how do you younguns afford the insurance?
I'm 25 and drive a 172 ph1 unmodded, gonna cost me a pretty penny to insure when I renew with the rates going up :(
As if! He likes the speed of my car (and now knows he has to go MI soon so he can be faster) but he actually dislikes the smoothness and quietness of modern cars, says it takes away the character ^_^
Thanks for the other welcomes, and Mace especially *swoon* :rasp: ha
I don't like being a...
Hi, I'm Lisa and I've quite literally just bought a standard 172, it's a 2000 X-Reg in Silver. It's my second Clio but first Sport. (sounds like a riddle...)
I've hopped over from Peugeot, my last two cars being a 309 GTi and a 306 XSi, got to keep it French! Ha
Umm, I like fast/fun cars, and...
