Since this is still going this morning I will throw in my 2 pence,an unbiased view as well as I run neither so have no investment to justify.
I think the RS2 is a good bit of kit at realistically half the cost of an itb setup.Given its half the cot I don't think it fair to expect the same...
Black 172 on anthricite standard wheels heading north down the bowes incline yesterday morning.
Silver 172 parked outside Greenhams on the Team Valley mid-day.
Black 182 55 plate with cup pack parked on Scotswood Road.
Flame red 172 02 plate lowered on Chainbridge Road around 2:30.
Cheers Ross.
Re: Attention Nurburgring pilots (any track really) - Some advise required if you ple
Don't want to seem like im jumping on the bandwagon but I have managed make a set of greenstuffs disintegrate as well, just through normal driving as well not going mad.
Cheers Ross.
Actually what material are the cage you are after made from,cds/t45 etc? Quite a diference in weight between them.Im too idle to look it up but I seem to remember certain omp cage are some sort of chromoly which there is a bit of debate about how its best to weld so might be worth looking into...
I quite like the photoshop with it really low on the white wheels.Don't bother with the nankangs though,in my experience they are cheap for a reason.I think if they didn't have the sidewall profile they do and have obscure sizes which suit people who want stretch then they would struggle to sell...
Take it you are seeing if the new subframe will cure the alignment issues before diving into the rot I take it? Im not really familiar with the panels on the 200sx but most of the repairs don't look too bad.The last one will be a bit of a pig unless you know or can work out how the panels should...
May as well do the whole lot in one go as its a false economy not to really.Timing belt needs to come off to fit the dephaser pulley, full belt kit should be fitted at the same time.Once you have done that its pointless not to fit a new aux belt kit.Change the oil and filter as well at the same...
I wouldn't let the number of owners put you off too much,I think people in general but especially enthusiasts change car more often than used to be the case.
Cheers Ross.
Was out and about today and spotted a few;
55 plate BG 182 with cup pack on Scotswood Road parked near Vickers.
54 plate silver 182 with cup pack near Main Gate on the Team Valley.
07 plate blue 197 going into Macdonalds also on the Team Valley.
Cheers Ross.
There is a bracket that runs from the battery to the slam panel just to the right of the airbox.Just below where it joins the slam panel there is a circular hole in the inner wing that the caf mounts into just behind the headlight. The connection to the airbox is right on the bottom at the back...
I would go with the eibachs just going from the rave reveiws they get on here. That said I have a mk2 golf with a set of fk coilovers on and they have been excellent, how much reflection that has on their lowering springs I couldn't say though.
Cheers Ross.
There should be two.
One attaches to the bottom of the airbox and runs into the area between the battery and the back of the headlight. The second which is the one your missing runs from the box behind the headlight and down onto the accustic valve in the passenger side inner wing.If you have a...
Looks great,I especially like the carbon dash stips.Wheels suit it in anthricite as well, makes me reconsider what colour to have ine done when they are refurbed.
Cheers Ross.
Spotted this afternoon in Wigtown highstreet.Black gold 182,private plate, cup spoiler, satin black wheels with for sale signs in the back windows.Im in the area pretty often visiting my folks and rarely see any so this made a nice change.
Cheers Ross.
Looks like a lot of potential there.Steering wheel makes a big difference, good find as well there can't be many mint condition original ones about (without selling some internal organs to fund a new one from renault anyway).Im going to get mine retrimmed as its started to melt on one side and as...
A couple of friends have had mk4 r32's and they are a nice car to drive, comfy & quick but not masses of fun for me.A bit sedate for my liking, much more of a daily driver than a weekend toy.Have no first hand experience of the Mk5 r32 so I can't comment.
Cheers Ross.
As per title.Followed the first one out of the town centre and the second one joined heading towards teeside.Second one was lowered with a yellow cliosport sticker, followed them until the A66 turnoff and both went separate ways. Both looked tidy even in todays shitty weather.
Cheers Ross.
You don't need to remove the s**t guard/plastic undertray as there as a gap between it and the subframe just below where the bottom hose joins the radiator, also any coolant that does manage to find its way onto the s**t guard will soon run out once the car is driven. As Martin says it does just...
No problem on the advice, happy to help! What you have quoted from the halfords site means bugger all to be honest,it still can't be mixed.Oat is glycol based but it isn't compatible with regular glycol stuff.
Glad you decided not to go for it.Changing is quite straight forward, take the airbox...
After my experience above I wouldn't bother with anything other than type d,at £12 for 5 litres its not worth bothering with anything else. The gunk that comes from getting it wrong really is horrible stuff, will see if I can find the bottle I kept to take a pic.
Cheers Ross.
