f**k me,at last its a car with a worse stance than my standard cup! Im surprised the seller didn't hang on until after its appearances on stanceworks & hellaflush before selling to be honest. ;)
Type d is glycol not oat.Do not put anything oat based in your car unless you are going to flush very very thoroughly beforehand.
I have made this mistake before when I was in a rush,luckily I realised within an hour or so and rectified my mistake.Out of interest I kept some of the mixture that...
I think its priced fine,certainly not over the top.The miles shouldn't be too much of an issue for most as its been looked after by the looks of things.Only thing I can think that would put people off is the timing belt will want doing within the next 11 months.Because there is a lot of s**t...
Will be watching this with interest.Have to jump on board with the others and say the black speedlines do look great in the old photos.Plans for the coming year sound good as well,be interesting to see what power it makes with the 421s since it did so well at RS Tuning the other month.
Cheers Ross.
Another vote for cardboard here,its surprisingly insulating and will block out the airflow.Have used it in the past for this very problem on an old mini.
Cheers Ross.
Don't mean to bang on about it but I would definitely do the dogbone,when I took mine off there was no visible sign of wear in the oe bushes even though they were absolutely shot.
Cheers Ross.
As said above,change the dogbone to a powerflex bush as it takes a lot of hammer and usually the first one to go.Made a world of difference on mine and stopped the exhaust knocking on the subframe.There is a tiny amount of extra vibration that some twist about,but I assume they are just being...
I have spotted loads recently but keep forgetting to put them up on here.One sticks in mind though as I saw it out and about the other day and then this morning parked up in Castleside near Consett.
Its an iceberg silver 02 plate 172 with anthracite turinis,lowered and what looks like a magnex...
Thanks for the comments all. :D
Had a nightmare this week with it,I should add nothing to do with the car it was all my own doing.I have been messing around with cars since I was about 14 years old & in 14 years or so that have followed I have never had such a stupid mistake.......EVER!
Easy...
The washers have pretty much sorted the creaky steering and cant go wrong for £6.50.I do have the worlds most annoying creak from the back nearside though when pulling away/beginning to reverse,I can only think its either a shock on its way out or the brake dragging ever so slightly until the...
Quick update as I managed to get one of the above list sorted.I bought a set of strut top washers from Meek racing on here and fitted them at lunchtime.Borrowed a cordless buzz gun from one of the fiters at work which made a lot easier (no pissing around with allen keys etc) and job was done in...
This time last year car wise I was pouring money into a very slow race car build and thinking I should probably get rid for something I could actually get a bit of use out of.Took me another 10 months or so to actually do it and ended up in the clio.
Cheers Ross.
Hi,
Firstly I will excuse myself before I get started as I am an electrical r****d,mechanical stuff I can deal with but any form of wiring is a black art as far as im concerned.
With that out the way my heated rear screen is knackered.All the elements look to be intact and the fuse is fine but...
Looks great,really tidy! Racing blue has really grown on me.I was never too fussed about it until I joined up here,the amount of good examples on the forum must have swayed me somewhat :D
Thanks for the comments guys,bar a couple of small marks it does clean up pretty well even if I do say so myself!
Ashey must be a mindreader as im hoping to get a few of the following little bits sorted over the next couple of months;
* Coolant change
* New NGK plugs
* Gearbox oil change
*...
My friend has just had a set of turinis done by the wheel specialist.They cost £160 and came out pretty well to be fair.SEM always do a great job but are pretty expensive.Bettablast in Shiremoor are good and reasonably priced last time I used them.
Cheers Ross.
Not an update as such but I had a couple of free hours this afternoon and rather than start a fresh thread in media thought I would just put the pics in here.As I have had a company car for years its a while since I have bothered to clean one properly but im enjoying keeping on top of the...
Oh,forgot one.Silver non sport lowered with sport skirts,wings & front bumper.Also had some ktec style stickers as well,passed it mid afternoon on the A19.
Cheers Ross.
I rarely comment unless I have something good to say but if it were me I would have spent the money on having the belts done and making sure everything is spot on before spending the money on modifying it.As for the low figures check the timing,a fraction out can loose a good chunk of power...
