I think the Ph1 clusters suit the silver ones very well. All other colours need the Ph2 clusters. Something to do with the contrast. Of all the things I did to mine, I loved the car the most when I put it back to standard. Unfortunately by then it was too late and I had already signed it over...

They're black.

The outer cable corrodes from the inside, causing the inner cable to 'stick'. You can replace the whole lot without too much bother, much easier if you remove the front wheel arch.

Sounds like the throttle cable to me... very common on the Ph1s, and a quick £20 fix.

They used a light wight foam iirc...

Love it. Stick a front reg plate on it though and it's not so special looking :(

Don't be disappointed... you've bought the better car! I wouldn't worry about the leather seats, they're not particularly good but yeah they do come up for sale regularly. Check that the shocks are in good working order, get out there and enjoy the car! :D

Why do it then? Weight issues?

Pack out the hanger rubbers with something more solid and use cable ties to secure... It's quite a common 'bodge' to get any exhaust to sit right.
