little update - the cars a stage shinier again now following a quick waxing after work tonight. only cheapo turtle wax but seems to have given a nice finish. btw its not your usual all in one turtle was in a spray bottle its more of a paste consistancy

the mk4 gti was defo available with a 1.8 5cylinder turbo engine producing 150bhp or 180bhp in the anniversary model.

i might be wrong on the 5cylinders, might be getting mixed up with the mk4 which was 5cylinders.

coil pack or lambda sensor. you either need to buy a code reader or take it to a garage and get them to read the fault. if you have aa cover they can plug their computer in and read the code for u then you can replace the parts yourself to save money.

the service light is not for that. the service light only lights when there is a fault on the car. there is no light which comes on when your car is due a service. the reason your serv light is on is because there is a fault somewere

they just pumped it into a 5l bottle from the tank when i last went national, then went all old school and poured it into the car lol

last time i had some from national, yes it was oil from a big tank but the invoice/tank said it was magnatec so not really a cheap oil as such. Certainly no gripes for the money paid.
