The cog is not only just rounded off slightly there is also a split down one side so i have tried to put some glue in there and cable tied it up overnight.
If all else fails could i not just packed...

Oh right that will explain it then - i took apart the centre console looked up in the drivers footwell side and saw a load of coloured wires so i am guessing its behind all of these somewhere.
Any you just tighten a cable tei around the cog? You had any problems since?

Why oh why do i get all the expensive problems!!
Good info above sounds like i have the exact same problem. I ahve taken the centre console to bits and look up in the drivers footwell bit by the console and cant see anything that looks like the photos in this thread

Basically when u turn in at low speeds you can hear/ feel the springs vibrating around. Cruising alot straight is fine. When i fitted...

When is the run then down Brighton - if im free ill come is there going to be a load of us then?
And yes the kid in the clio did look a bit young to be driving a sport
Race to the Redline - is that his forum id?
Im from Crowborough way.
Have u seen the silver clio mk2 going round with all the sticker down the side, i cant work out if its an actual sport or not!
Not that i remember seeing - if it had one, the person is obviously not worth knowing as they have ruined their beautiful car!!
I saw you the other day waiting at traffic lights by tunnel going towards Industrial Estate - yes i am a stalker of clios lol
Got flashed and a nod from a lad on Saturday. Down by the pantiles area near KFC if anyones knows the town.
I have seen T5PHY going around but this was NOT him!!
Any ideas..........
How come all these companys selling 60mm kits for mk2 clios say you cant use the springs on sport models? Anyone know of someone on here who has put 60mm springs on a 172?
Car is lowered 35mm at front, 30mm at rear- just springs replaced. I want the back end lower but have not got funds for coilovers.
Back end is sitting to high and round the bends you get a bit of lift of oversteer which is not great!!
Would it be ok to get some springs made for say a 1.6...
PI Springs - got them off ebay as they were cheap! The kit said 35mm drop but fronts are 35mm and rear springs 30mm lower.
I know there prob no good but they seem ok to me and im not going to waste £600 plus on coilovers as im only keeping the car for a year.
Its not a cup model
And the sills do not sit level they raise up from the front slightly towards the rear
Where can i get hold of 50 mm springs for the rear as i dont want to buy a whole set
