Well the AA bloke came today and had no joy firing it up. He ran a diagnostic via his laptop and it found 15 electrical faults lol. He ran it again and it found 7. Can't remember them all but it found a throttle body fault, throttle pedal sensor fault, some relay problem. I've probably not named...
That's what I found while searching. If you search this thread you'll find a post about resyncing your immobiliser, that could possibly help you with your problem.
Yeah I went to look at one that was advertised with having the toys normal 172s have. xenons leather seats etc. To say it was a dog would be a compliment.
Does anyone know what the red engine management light with "STOP" in the middle of it means? As that flashes now when you try to turn the car over.
Edit: Just found out what it is.
I'm not sure to be honest, thought had crossed my mind but that wouldn't explain my fuel pump not priming. So unless everything has decided to fail at once I don't think it's that, that's causing the problem.
Funniest one I had was an old guy in a focus when I had my 1st Cup. I was coming down the M67 and this Focus was going pretty slow so I pulled out in to the middle lane and over took it then filtered off junction 2 for Hyde. The old guy driving didn't like that so he tailgated me all the way up...
Are you in desperate need to sell it? If not I'd hang on to it and see how things pan out, being a Renault though you'll be lucky to break even when selling it.
Could this throw up the heartbeat monitor light up on the dash if that was the problem? I'll hopefully find out what the problem is tomorrow as it's going to Renault.
Yeah I've read they tend to corrode and stop working, I never switched the position of the relays though and only cleaned up the blacks ones that are located in the engine bay.
A while after yeah, doubt it's the problem though because the pump was priming for a while after I cleaned my relays.
Might be a long shot but I think it could be something to do with my faulty UCH.
Lol. it also rattled everything in the car and when you took the revs high then lifted off the throttle it use to make a weird noise, it was like when someone holds there breath for a long period of time then starts to breath again.
