I decatted my k-tec stealth supersport and couldn't take the noise. Didn't feel much if any gain from it. I believe the Yozzasports would be even louder after being decatted.
Took mine off today to clean as a last resort to try and resolve my non starting problem but noticed there was a gap all the way round it, you could push it so it closed more and it closed the gap, is the normal?
See picture!
In the 6 months of owning my previous Cup and the 5 months of this one, only once I've had a do with a CTR. Strange how it varies from person to person.
Guess it depends on the area, I didn't get it that often, just from the odd Beamer trying to jump me at the lights etc. I get it more now I've got the 1.4 badges on it.
Car's provisionally booked in Renault for Wednesday (my day off work) apparently as long as it's 24 hours after you've taken out a policy with AA you're covered. Might try that. Cheers mate!
Did that yesterday, they didn't look all that bad but I gave them a clean to no avail. I've only got two black relays though whether that's something to do with it being a Cup I don't know.
Can't see why there would be a problem doing it to be honest. They'll be at least one turbo charged cup knocking about just never come across is before.
That's the only thing for it to be honest. Not with a breakdown company so I'll have to pay a recovery company to move it.
Owning a French car + not signing up with a breakdown company = Fail :dead:
Surprisingly the battery has plenty left in it, car still turns over and all the clocks/radio and lights work.
Not tried resetting it no, but the car wouldn't turn over if it was the immobliser would it?
It was, my drive is on a slight incline but it's been moved to the flatter part of the drive and still no joy with it. Very tempted to push it out in to the road to if that works, I'm at the point I'd pretty much try anything lol.
Getting the train to work is a ball ache.
Yeah disconnected the battery for about an hour before and that made it worse to be honest, it wouldn't even turn over after I did that, after about 20 minutes it started turning over again though. :S
It's a orange square box with zig zags running through the middle of it...
It's f**king annoying isn't it? I feel like setting mine on fire and letting it roll off down a hill.
Only difference with mine is, mine doesn't start up at all and I've got that orange heart beat monitor light (limp mode) on my dash constantly.
Tried that mate, also the light does go out once the ignition is turned on.
It's got to be something to do with the fuel pump because it's stopped priming. where's the relay for the fuel pump located? Also would that cause the heartbeat monitor light to light up on the dash?
Thanks mate, I will do.
The immobiliser light goes out after it's flashed, to be honest I didn't think it was an immobiliser problem because the fuel pump would start priming at one point. It's stopped priming now but the engine will turn over but won't start.
Update- Went to start it this morning and it starting turning over but wouldn't start, presume it's because no fuel is getting through due to the fuel pump not priming.
Not having any joy with this yet, relays checked and cleaned, TDC sensor has been removed, cleaned then refitted and still nothing, really beginning to annoy me this
