Had this problem at the Cat&Fiddle run but BenP sorted it it for me by fiddling with the bonnet sensor but I can't remember what he did.
When I try to start it there's nothing there, the fuel pump starts to prime and I get the battery and Stop light on the dash, the battery isn't dead because...
I had mine off for the 1st time a few days ago, it's pretty easy, just got to make sure you disconnect everything from it. There's a guide in the guide section for taking it off as well I think.
Can you use oil designed for diesel engines in petrol engines? I'm sure I've read somewhere you can because the only difference is there's more cleaning agents in the the diesel oil.
Only reason I ask is because I was after some oil today and no where seemed to have 5w 40 for petrol engines...
Like the front end of it but that's the only thing I do like about it. How much do you reckon he's spent on the interior? (not read the advert if it says in there) because it's f**king awful lol
PMSL! Bet that's fun trying to slow that thing down then. It was bad enough with only 162bhp and drum brakes, sometimes felt like it was never going to stop.
Understand where you're coming from when you say you "missed it". When I was forced to sell my previous Cup a few years ago ever since I was pining for another Sport until I got this one a few months ago.
Good luck finding one.
To honest though mate, anyone with half a brain would work out it's been badged down lol. Not meaning to sound big headed but as soon as I rev it you'd really be able to tell.
Unless one of them has the same idea as me. Lad I know has a Corsa with a 2.0 8v lump in it, to look at it you'd think it was no more than a 1.2 even still has the brum brakes on the back.
Looks awful doesn't it? Most of the chips on mine came from when I was behind a mate, he decided to over-take a car by crossing some chevrons and fired up aload of crap all over my car.
Not as expensive as I imagined then, I'd probably get the whole front end done to be honest as I've got marks on the front bumper and on my wings. Meguirs(sp) scratch-X can only hide a certain amount.
My bonnet is covered in little stone chips and it's got the point it annoys me every time I look at the car, even more when other people make comment about it.
I know you can buy a touch up pen/pencil to help hide them but what other alternatives are there as I'm really cack handed when it...
Aye it was mostly motorway the journey, I figured the cold air rushing through the grill would help the temp of the engine bay but wasn't expecting it be nearly cold lol
It did feel a little strangled on the motorway but that could have just been me being paranoid because as soon as I got off...
Bit of weird one this but just after a 190 mile trip I decided to lift up the bonnet, not sure if this is normal but the inlet plenum and fuel rail guard were cool. I know the electric fan helps prevent everything overheating but I never knew it was that efficient lol. Granted it was pissing...
Previous owner of mine never bothered to get the catch replaced so the last I was at Renault my catch got replaced, I hadn't even mentioned it and they replaced it, free of charge obviously.
