Fahad isn't doing too badly for the first round. The driving seems to be a bit more erratic this year.
Hopefully Piers will be back soon along with everyone involed.
Is it the same engine as your C4? I think I'm more than pleased with the performance for now. Averaging 35MPG on short trips with 60miles on the clock.
The more I look at it the more I like it. It really does change colour as the light changes.
I'm considering the aero grille but needs the front de-chromed to pull it off IMO. Got some new side scuttles coming to replace these boring ones then some graphics. Still undecided on the wheels, would like some bullets from the vert.
Just gave it another couple of coats of wax so took a few...
List was £15.7k. I know it is quite expensive compared to a Clio even with its perspective discount applied but residual is better and aftersales is much better than a Renault dealer.
Got some new bits arriving soon.
One reason for a new one was I had a car that needed to be scrapped so may aswell get £2k instead of £100. Being limited to a new car with the scrapper meant the S was more than I wanted to pay.
They give you clues to which you plot your route from one time control to the next. Clues vary depending on your skill level. There are also boards on the side of the road which you have to note down to prove you were on the right route.
You get mins added on to your timeif you drop a board...
Technical difficulties.;) AKA pain in my f**king ass. Don't really want to say much as I'm awaiting their response.
I have also managed to lose half the nuts and bolts so need to source some more.
Forgot I started this thread.
I like the color more everytime I look at it. Reason for the uncertainty is this is a new colour on the hatch and I have only seen it on the vert. This is one of the first cars in this combination. This was a week 10 build with the new engines starting on week 9...
How are you finding it so far? I used to compete in a few before in the 197 it got crashed into on an event.
Trying to find a suitable event next month for the MINI to try out.
Just got back from the dealers compound to see the new car and took a few pics. Hopefully I get used to the colour soon.

I'll make sure I'll say hi this year. I think I may have met you last year but not sure if it was you.
Engine is nearly there. Just waiting for the cage to be finished atm.
More pictures:
Pistons fitted.
Crank looking lovely. Hopefully it'll never be seen again.lol
Crank...
Hankook K110 control tyre on rota slipstream.:) Ours are built with good handling from the factory and don't need fancy tyres.;)
Tyres in arch mean it'll be lower = views blocked by car infront.;)
I stopped looking at the calender now. I'm too busy trying to earn more money to keep thinking about it tbh.
I tried some list 1a tyres but no one stocks them in this size.:( This car also has a space for alternative power under the bonnet.;)
Cage waiting to be fitted. Should be done by next WE.
Will be building up the front a rear chassis assembly next week then the shell can just bolt onto the car.
Refaced flywheel. Regs do not allow lightening or balancing.
Block awaiting some paint. Loving the nice new bores.
Pistons all cleaned and awaiting assembly.
Oil scraper and spacers installed.
Then the rings.
This week will be spent on taking off the suspension, brakes etc off my...
I need to get the car on its wheels in under 4 weeks so I can moveit to another workshop as this one is closing. Just waiting for the cage to be welded then rest can go on.
