I agree with that. Also dont buy it from ebuyer. Go to www.scan.co.uk or www.overclockers.co.uk will get the same hardware but cheaper. The CPU alone is £10 cheaper at scan.
Q6600 is a great CPU, 4gb of ram is under £70 for half decent stuff so gets my vote. However the PSU on that link I would...
There are workarounds. Just have to go searching on the net. Dont think it is really fair that you have to upgrade your monitor to watch things you have purchased legally.
So use a workaround.
32bit versions of windows unless PAE is enabled are limited to only 4gb maximum memory. So if you have a 768mb vid card and then your sound card has ram on it etc that eats up part of that 4GB so you may find if you have 4GB of system ram in your system can only utilize 3.2gb worth etc.
Non of...
Fine unless you are overclocking and a few of them have bad areas in the FSB. Like I cant get mine to boot at 1333mhz FSB but it will at 1340mhz. And the same thing happens lower and higher. You have to find an area that works basically which can make overclocking a little annoying.
Otherwise...
My Extreme striker 680i board is good but has a somewhat iffy bios...but then again I think all the new nforce boards do.
Even with its massive heatsink setup it still gets toasty but I am putting a bit more voltage than standard through it all.
If you can find anywhere selling them as most places seemed to sell out and never get anymore. Buy a BenQ 24" panel regarded as the one to get generally. Better image quality and colours over the dell / samsung. Same response time and similar price.
I have the 70 - 300mm IS quite a good lens. One of my pictures with it below. It was my first time using the lens and that was my 2nd ever shot with the lens. So be kind.

Thats straight off my camera only cropped down slightly. Its a bit too bright...
I just went with the Q6600 sitting at 3.46ghz air cooled without any issues. Much rather have the quad than a dual. For instance playing UT3 it puts all 4 cores to 100% so obviously some games can make full use of the quad cores. Source engine based games can utilize them also.
Go for the quad.
I know its ECC memory which is usually a bit more expensive but its not that expensive! They must be making close to 250% profit on each module they sell if not more.
However you look at it though they are ripping you off. Can you not just go get some ECC memory out of a comp shop and drop it...
£320 for 2GB of 800mhz DDR2... It's when I read things like that I dont know how people can say mac's are well priced as that is ridiculous.
I am honestly baffled how they can sell it for that. Utter rip off.
It's a software issue.
Will not be hardware related otherwise it would happen in other games / programs and OS's.
Not to mention ASUS boards have a habit of miss reporting voltages and they also have shitty temp sensors which are usually around 10c out.
And a 580w PSU will easily handle that...
The new GX2 is likely to be a rip off.
But quite a few of the places say not to invest in a GTX / Ultra SLI rig due to the newer GT, GTS' with the G92 GPU. Which should soon find it's way into the GTX / Ultra.
If you are not going to overclock the CPU is pretty much wasted on you. And if you are going to overclock but on air it is pretty much wasted too. It is a great CPU as long as you are overclocking and have water cooling or something better.
Otherwise it is a bit of a waste of money as you are...
Surprised you are only fan cooling the NB unusual not to have a waterblock on it. I know how hot mine gets when overclocking so can imagine it being rather toasty there. Do like the stacker cases though I run one of the newer 830's but running out of room even in that now.
My experiance with vista says that is all absolute cack. How does Vista know something is a virus when vista does not come with a virus scanner. Sounds to me like you have not setup the rest of your software correctly.
Sack the GT get this instead.

Cheaper and faster. One of the new GTS's which are currently the best cards nvidia sell until the GTX gets refreshed.
Old GTS's have 320 or 640mb of memory. The newer...

If flashes can be got cheap I am after a 580EX II as well.
Obviously depending on prices but that is the kit I am currently after.
Vista 64 works fine if you game. I dual boot between vista 64 and XP64. And to be honest there is only a slight performance drop in Vista nothing that serious though.
Had no other problems with it though drivers are fine the only thing I cant get decent drivers for is my soundcard. But thats...
Whats with the nitrous thing anyway. All I heard was a big turbo spooling up. Before it actually kicked in fully and then took off.
Even so an engine built to run on nitrous still needs to have a fair chunk of cash thrown at it.
It is likely full of s**t doesn't matter how full the hard drive is. Just wipe it reinstall and get the drivers from whoever makes the parts. Not mesh.
In what way is it slow general usage in windows, Gaming or something else?
As even though its getting on it should be that slow. Although if you wanted to upgrade it would depend how much you are wanting to spend to what my advice would be.
