If she's been given a courtesy car then it sounds like she's gone through her insurance company, your insurance company wouldn't normally ask to see her car. It'd be her insurance company that would foot the bill then claim it all back from her. Sorry but it looks like you might be screwed

I'd personally try a mates coil pack and/or leads first, then plugs and I'd be confident it'd sort the problem. If it's still there then look at injectors

To be honest I doubt a clip will tell you what exactly is at fault, it will diagnose a misfire but that could be caused by the coil pack, leads or plugs
