Is a 2005 model. The pioneers you were looking at are a fair bit older.
But go into an audio store and ask them how much they are willing to give you it for the unit can be had for £260 off the net and another £50 for the ipod adaptor see if they will give you them both for £315ish you have to...
MP4 is usually video player.
And the creative is better than the Ipod for the MP4 players due to larger screen if you just want an MP3 player that can show photos though id look at either one of the new photo zens or if you really have to the ipod :/
The ipod video has a piddly wee screen...
few quid cheaper than if you went and got it out of a shop but not much.
But if you go into a shop they usually give you discount i went in said i could get it cheaper and they matched the price.
Headunit is brilliant mate cant fault it. Went in and asked 2 audio shops what the recommended for sound quality both of them said that unit so does nearly everyone on here.

i quite like the newer start menu mainly cause i just fill it with all my shrotcuts theres more room. Set icons to small and just use that for all my main programs. keeps the desktop tidy.
The standards are only like 3 watts rms or somethign stupid. When you put in bigger louder more powerful speakers they in turn need more to power them usually to get the same levels out of them. So yes it would be beneficial to amp them rather than run them from a headunit.
But if your buying really expensive components. Wouldnt it be better to buy lower spec'd ones and amp them rather than run them off the rather small output ost headunits give out which is at most around 22w RMS?
My alpine unit only gives out 18w RMS per channel.

most virus' also arent designed to work in linux due to the open source nature etc of the software little harder to get them. As most security holes etc get patched quite quickly.
Newegg is about the best one. Great service from them usually and pretty cheap.
