Take the metal clip off the original bulb and put it on the HID bulb, its a little awkward but they will go on, then twist the bulb in as normal @SDavies

I had ktecs on my old 182 I had a knock on the coilovers, take the coilovers off and loosen top mount etc to get the spring off, youve got the chrome piston (unsure of correct term) theres a hole that this comes out of the shock through, this metal 'cap' is screwed in and mine came loose...

@GrahamS in the end i bit the bullet, i had the dci exhaust off then took the 1.2 one off ecp had different part numbers for backboxes centres the lot so wasnt full of confidence same lenth so would have fitted, only difference i could see is the weight thing was a little further up than the...

He just showed me it now, he managed to get most of it off with AG paint restorer or something, but its damaged the rubber seals around the handle but thats easy enough to sort it isnt as bad as i thought tbf but still annoying, they did his neighbours cars so i sont think it was directed at him
