I'm in the process of building a track car so, yes i will be running without ABS. I've removed the ABS pump, not realising that the ABS ECU is part of the ABS pump which is needed for the speedo so i need to reinstate the ABS pump to get my speedo working again.
05 182. No problem, i've just removed the front ABS sensors and if i can get away with just 1 ABS sensor (the one that is also the speedo sensor), then i don't need to fork out for new ABS sensors.
Hey guys,
Does anyone know which hub the speed sensor for the speedo is located on ? I've seen from other posts its the N/S but they don't mention if its front or rear.
Cheers
Oooooooh, i though this was the ABS ECU/Module:
I sold my ABS pump and my speedo works of the ABS sensors  Guess i'll be needing a GPS speedo.
I think as @imprezaworks said, as i'm starting out i could compromise and do £800 for cage and £800 on a set of coilovers.
I would love a set of AST's with @NorthloopCup Roll centre/bump steer corrector hubs but that'll be £2k on suspension just for a track day car !
It's still a work in progress car and most of this list is a "plan" but engine will be standard apart from an air filter and its got a Miltek exhaust already. I will be de-catting it.
Completely stripped interior.
Polycarb windows.
Gearbox is standard with the view to stick a LSD eventually...
I know but the cost of a heated front screen is a lot and i don't want to risk it being smashed/cracked/chipped every time i go on track by flying debris.
Rebuild has started:
Decided to keep the original heater system so i can have nice warm air (to aid the cooling of the engine of course ;-)) and demisting the windscreen.
Fitted black series ARB bushes.
Fitted DCI steering rack with new inner tie rods, new boots and new track rod ends.
The flange on my exhaust manifold is pretty rusted, what would be my best option ?
Cut it off and weld a new one on ?
Get a new or 2nd hand exhaust manifold ?
Live with it ?
What you need is a light weight trailer, one that weighs about 400kg with a load capacity of about 1200kg. The PRG Minisport trailer is the one i'm looking to get eventually. Gross weight of 1500kg (load capacity of 1135kg).
