^^^ Mates M3 CSL, took me out in it and its amazing.
I smile when i wake up to my 172 (quite sad i know) but i'd happily sh*t the bed for an excuse to get up for an M3.
Car looks great, have u got any videos??
Not too fussed about solid top mounts, just going for genuine Renault replacements but wasn't sure about other mounts for the engine as it's a daily that gets booted once in a while, not for tracking (not yet anyway) ;).
K-tech do a full set of mounts for around £240, is it any good tho...
I'm replacing my top suspension mounts/shocks next week and wanted to know what mounts i need to replace to stiffen up gear changes and engine movement??
Could someone list them and explain what they do so i can order them from Renault please, thanks very much
Dogbone mount?
Engine mounts...
I've got a 172 cup and bought it lowered in Aug 2012.
I don't know what springs they are except they are red (and flaking).
Is there a way of telling if they need doing by just looking at them??? There not broken/snapped but for all i know, they might have been on the car for the last god knows...
I want a sat nav that alerts me on Speed traps/Hand held speed guns etc
Don't want to spend a fortune, but opinions on what you have would be good
Rough prices as well please
Cheers
I did think about that but with Renault obviously been rip off merchants thought i'd look at aftermarket replacements as heard alot about powerflex and Vibra Technics.
I need to replace my engine and gearbox mounts. Won't be used for the track so only ones suitable for road use.
Don't want to spend a fortune but don't want cheap aftermarket crap either
any ideas? Prices and where from?
Cheers
when you get the boot catch off look behind it theres 4 strips of glue behind the diamond. you just need to scratch it away so it will push through. As for the front diamond i'm 100% sure you cant use it for a rear replacement. Is this what you meant, sorry got a bit confused reading ya post lol...
When you remove the rear bolts theres 2 clips still holding the boot handle and diamond on to the boot. I was in a hurry and snapped mine, still bolted on fine though. Then you need to scratch the 4 lines of plastic away from behind the diamond for it to come out (thats if you were wanting just...
Most legit places won't do it because of the high risk of a blow out. U'll wear them down twice as fast and look ridiculous IMO. I had stretched on my cup when i bought it, soon got them changed.
