Just started spraying up some bumpstrips, but first had to get '647' mixed up at Halfrauds as they don't stock it as standard. I admittedly haven't finished and am hoping that a few more coats will lighten the colour gradually as the primer is hidden, but it's a pretty dark grey at the moment...

Well, when I got the 172, it was decided that it would be 'our' car: helps reduce the repayments! But, the Mrs is a provisional licence holder and insurance companies wouldn't let her near my policy. Well now she's about 6 weeks away from a test but there I am thinking that it still won't work...

Occasionally, normally when crawling in traffic, I find that my 172 idles at about 2k revs and that when I blip the throttle it will settle back down to about 700. I've been told that this is because the 'butterfly' hinge on the throttle unit is slightly bent so that is sometimes trapped open...
