I'm going to need to get a new phone this week, what do people recommend? Completely open mind at the moment...

Right, I'm in the process of deciding between:

Nokia N70 - ideal mix between phone and useful other functions
O2 XDA Mini S - PDA's rock
Samsung Z320i - looks cool, i-Mode, small
Nokia 6270 - looks pretty cool, small

Anyone got any preferences?...

release date for the N80 is april if you can hold on dude.

I dont know anything about the others, havent followed much on phone technology for a while now.

I would wait for the N80 but looking at the spec, it's gonna be pretty damn expensive, at least until other phones start catching up.

IIRC it's got a huge memory and 3mp camera... sweet but costly.

The missus is going for a Sony Ericsson so I'd better avoid those! Nothing worse than matching phones...

Nokia are the best phone makers in the world.

they have the best user interface, best cameras and if you get a symbian enabled one, you can get loads of cool apps for them

nokia have come on leaps and bounds there was a stage where samsung took over but there back big time the N series is awsome i like the N90, N80. car forum

getting on a bit now though, and ive only had it since july! If i had a choice now, id go for the w800i i think.

If it wasn't for the w**k joystick then the K750i would be an almost perfect phone, had joystick problems with T68i and T610 and now K750i...when will SE realise their joysticks are defective?

Im happy with my Samsung i300, the battery life has been good for me and is nice having 3gb for mp3s

The Sony Walkman W810 looks a nice phone - no joystick either
