@Ricardos Nice Clio. I miss my Trophy. Interesting to see what you do with this. One of my favourite build threads over the years was your white phase one.
Anymore information on the Cooksport RR day as it’s local to me. They mention it on their website but can’t find any other information.
Nice write up and car.
The benefit of flocking is how it cuts glare down and I would recommend doing it.
I have had the top dash, A pillar trims, hazard panel trim, steering column cowling, door handles & levers. I think that's enough for me.
I think I need to paint my dash strips red now...
That's annoying. So many parts now NLA. I was lucky I bought a lot of new parts over the 8 years I have had mine that are now NLA.
I bought a genuine one which the part number was 7701470460, pricey but I like genuine where possible.
@DomP182 This is mine after about nearly four years and about 5000 miles, may take it off and give it a clean now though. But overall it's not too bad.
Thanks for the offer Jon. I may not be brave enough to do it though:), the annoying thing is the gearbox has been out twice in my ownership and not once has it been suggested to replace the seal and I forgot to mention it.
I started working on cars from an early age on cars that most forum...
@Jon Wright Good to see all the hard work being put into this. I wish I could do a fraction of the amount of work you have done I would save a fortune. Mine weeps from the crank seal and has done since 2013 when I bought the car.
@FPummell I am up for another trip to Donington next year. Need to sort my power steering pump out over winter. Replaced in 2019 as a precaution and it’s knackered already, only 4 track days and probably less than 3000 miles 🤷♂️
@Liambo-235 these are what people have bought in the past. His service is good and the quality of his stickers are good.
Just remember to select black for colour from the drop down list...
@SteveC_1879 Sorry I forgot to reply to your question, Glad you managed to find the fault. I replaced my starter motor earlier in the year when it did similar and then a few weeks later it wouldn't start and that's when I tried the battery terminals. Another way to release the starter rather...
Have you tried the battery terminals, I had similar the other week. Took the positive terminal off, gave it a good clean with a small wire brush. Put it back on and started first time.
Was
Was good to catch up, we always seem to do the same days at Donnington. Last time you were in the Clio Cup racer. That's the reason I sold mine on due to the mileage I do each year. I think you need to add photos of the engine bay of the new Clio.
@Ben NBR Cup When your Clio was in the garage at Donnington two weeks ago I didn't even look at the Radical was more interested in your Clio, made me miss my 220 that I sold.
Unfortunately it was made by a very good friend so it not available to buy. It's a mixture of go pro mounts and sheet aluminium. I use it for my Samsung tablet.
@M.C.. & @FPummell after this weekend I am going to have a complex on how slow I was last Monday. I am in both videos looking like I was going backwards 🤦♂️
You both left me in the pits going backwards :). Although the last two runs after 4pm was by far the best but they both ended premature due to red flags and people's talent running out.
That sums yesterday up perfectly. We have been there four times in the last four years and without doubt that...
@FPummell I even managed to get a few decent laps in right at the end and that was even cut short due to a red Flag:).
I think the manners were poor to say the least, Never been on track and had someone flash me to get out the way on a corner.
Great to see this today @ Donnington and a small chat. A real credit to your skills for building it too such a high standard. You weren't hanging around either in between all the red flags!!.
👍
Regarding the buttons that’s correct.
Basically top two are horn and the other 4 replicate the standard buttons for cruise/limiter and position they are on the standard wheel.
It's a T50 for the steering wheel bolt I believe.
Boss, most people buy the Momo boss as I think there is a difference between ph1/2 bosses. Search on here and I think there is a thread about which is the best boss to buy.
A better solution to the resistors is if you can find someone nearby...
