Exactly this.
And as for who’d buy it, well I would if I won the euro millions. I’d have a collection of 80’s-00’s rally bred cars as art and duplicates to drive.
I only use impact sockets even if I’m working by hand with a ratchet. I just feel like they grip bolt heads better (probably the lack of polished chrome) with the matte black finish. The 3/8” shallow, snap on impacts are my go-to sockets.
I’d say if you’re DIY & only buy one set of sockets...
It’s a cool colour for sure. Car looks a bit of a shed for my liking though, I’d be worried the paint wasn’t original which I’d imagine would be the biggest issue with this flip colour.
Might be ok but it just gives off that vibe (state of it and yellow badges) it’s been beaten to death and...
My old style snap on hammer-through 12” pry bar was one of my fav tools. They’ve changed the handles now to these bulbous ones that look a bit naff. I’ve got the big one too, 36” which is handy.
Ive just rung MAC for some of their RBRT hex sockets. Anyone in the trade on here used them...
I’m probably a snap on man’s worst nightmare. All my tools have been bought cash and I don’t get sucked in to the bling stuff or financed tool boxes. I lost my favourite hammer through 12” pry bar and have been looking for one on eBay but they’re circa £30/£40 in well worn nick. I bought the set...
Love the little roloc 3m pads, use them a lot on my little air grinder.
I can’t quite believe how many tools Milwaukee do! I went to FFX (as they had the 3/8 for £179 with a 6.0 and small batt) on Saturday but it was closed luckily.
I’m still confused on the models though. They do a 12v 3/8...
All I know is the more I work on newer cars the more I think the older stuff can only go one way.
Honestly, I just don’t know what people are going to do with more modern cars in years to come. The way things are going I wouldn’t be surprised if the used car market is a very different place...
Washed it and also revealed the bad scratch (only one on the body through the paint) that my neighbour kindly done with a bed frame  Proper fuckin gouge!
I’m really gutted about it, worse than I would be if it’d been either of my imprezas.
Thanks. I spoke about this before on another thread but is there an app you can just buy shares? I tried before but someone on here said it sounds like I was spread betting (I think) as when the shares fell I had to pay into the app live despite my practice account flying (who’s have thought...
nothing right by the looks. That’s pretty impressive. I just googled price and said 104 in 2013 and 273 today. Thought it seemed wrong as tesla must have flown in recent years.
Question is, who here is wealthy because of it I guess.
Didn’t I see an interview with Shaq saying he’d invested...
Jeez, tesla FFS
Ok so 104 - 273 ?
But they did all their work 2012-2014 and slow since, is that right? And next few years I’d say they aren’t going to perform any better based on what other manufacturers are finally doing?
I’m not sure it’s right but if I am reading it right, my £3500 would...
Always in these types of thread people say “there’s much better things to invest in than cars”
Be interested to know if people want to list them below.
Forgetting housing (although in 7 years my V6 sti has way out paced my house price in percentage terms)
I have no doubt the right car can be...
Amen.
My friend has done well out of cars but he’s got no kids and honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if they all rot away for some crazy barn find or get completely eaten by mice (I’m currently replacing seat belts in his Testarossa as a mouse set up residence in there). He never uses most of...
Don’t get me wrong if you can find one at retail it’s a good money maker short term. There will also be the time they change them and the older ones spike a bit. I just don’t see them as sensible long term as there will be a huge amount of them in mint condition. Watches also go in fashion...
Smart money there is a retail new one and flip it now for your profit.
Anyone buying a new ceramic one for investment is going to lose out long term IMO.
The market is seriously skewed due to the sought after vintage models and people are paying over retail for current models. Trouble is (as...
Buy an Evo 5 and thank me later (if you can find one clean underneath)
Will be legal for the yanks in 2 years time.
In other news the world economy could collapse soon so you can also thank me in a sarcastic tone.
Most of its in my eyes still haha, even the safety squint didn’t help. Was lovely this morning doing it, rain soaked so was just raining rust and crap all over me.
Customer wanted to view as I was doing it as I think he was curious how rusty it could possibly be for an 11 plate car.
I’ve...
I was watching out of interest, think he removed it so prob had a good offer maybe.
It looks very low to me so wouldn’t say it was completely original.
Yep. They still have really bad cars over there. Isn’t it a case now of the only good cars are from down south?.
I’d imagine the US military are to blame for a lot of that. They love the imports and have a base on Okinawa, they seem to rust really bad there. A couple of the lads have YT...
I’m not doubting they’re good, as in powerful etc but just wondered how they work physically in the workshop scenario with such a big flat nose. Say you just put a short impact socket on you’re effectively limited to a space only slightly less shallow than the socket itself.
They do one with a...
Checking some of my old evos they seemed to have died 10 years ago. Probably rust.
Was looking at pics earlier and have some of my 6 sat there in the snow, can only imagine it turned to a pile of dust after soaking up all that salt
My mate is trying to buy a non rusty Evo 5 and it’s...
