Yes just clip in. Outlet is 2.5” I think. Although no point trying to add pipework to the disc for me
As there simply isn’t the room to do so on wheel lock on a 15” wheel.
So, delighted with the fit/function of the Corvette ducts, I needed to address the finishing on the front of the car. So I contacted @04-182 about 3D printing me some finishers that fit into the OEM fog surrounds that also locate into the GM pieces.
A little back and forth with measurements and...
As above. The Deox gel clings to the parts so you can paint it on. Then cover in cling film/pallet wrap to prevent it from drying out. Just helps to get rid of as much rust as positive before using hydrate 80 to convert and seal whatever’s left.
Then epoxy paint and finish etc.
They're not bad at all mate, just looks scarier than it is.
Id get a wire wheel on a drill in there as much as you can on the rusted areas and treat with some Bilt Hamber Deox C to try and remove/convert as much rust as possible. Then paint in some Bilt Hamber Hydrate 80. This will convert/seal...
Track use I'd say budget, BC, bit more budget AST.I wouldnt drop money into an old set of Spax to be honest.
The internet will be along to spend your money in a few moments :D
Easily my favourite build on here, ive loved watching this come together. Do the Braids go straight on the AP kit without spacers? Are they the 8s up front?
The issue I find with the modded Scenic shifters is the control weights are too light. So whilst they don’t rattle and the shifter height is good, theyre too light to use and don’t feel right to me.
I’ve tried something else with mine today but nit driven yet. Will report back tomorrow. 😏
Haha. Disaster! 🤦🏽♂️
I think almost all car parts I’ve regretted if I’ve not bought new.
Something else i experimented with is packing grease around the spring under the gearknob. It too makes a difference but in the hot weather the grease melts and runs down the top of the shaft. I’m yet to...
1.5kg of lead shot.
NMB ABT12 bearing in the tower.
OEM rubber boot over the linkage arm to gearbox packed with heavy grease.
That’s about as good as you’ll get it Russ.
Finally got some time to look at fitting my Corvette brake ducts today. Although these are exceptionally close to an OEM fit, they do not fit right up on a road car.
There was a lot of fitting, warming, forming, tweeking in order to get these to clear certain parts of the chassis, align with the...
Honestly for the money and size the inphase does more than i could ask of it. Its a pokey little unit and double the power of the other offerings from Alpine and the like. I was constrained by space so had to make use of what i could. However if you have the space for a bigger sub driver id go...
Sounds like ive trodden the exact route youre looking at .
I went for the following:
Alpine CDE 178BT HU
Focal AC130 components front
Focal RCX 130 coaxial rear
Focal Impulse 4.320 driving the speakers
Inphase USW300 under seat sub (Wanted to Focal but it was too big. This was much more...
Wow thats some read, well done on persevering with it. They all like to throw us a curve ball from time to time, so yours is no different.
Well done :)
@Jekyll has been doing some excellent headlight restorations here in Essex. I think i'll just get him to do mine properly and ceramic coat.
If you're in the Essex/Herts area and want a pukka job, hes your man. :)
If you haven't ordered the damper covers yet, the Motamec ones i have had on for the last 18 months have been excellent and my ASTs are as mint as the day i fitted them. :)
