As above. The Deox gel clings to the parts so you can paint it on. Then cover in cling film/pallet wrap to prevent it from drying out. Just helps to get rid of as much rust as positive before using hydrate 80 to convert and seal whatever’s left. Then epoxy paint and finish etc.

They're not bad at all mate, just looks scarier than it is. Id get a wire wheel on a drill in there as much as you can on the rusted areas and treat with some Bilt Hamber Deox C to try and remove/convert as much rust as possible. Then paint in some Bilt Hamber Hydrate 80. This will convert/seal...

Cant really see a downside to it for what you want. Either platform will be significantly better than a set of tired Spax.

Track use I'd say budget, BC, bit more budget AST.I wouldnt drop money into an old set of Spax to be honest. The internet will be along to spend your money in a few moments :D

Easily my favourite build on here, ive loved watching this come together. Do the Braids go straight on the AP kit without spacers? Are they the 8s up front?

The issue I find with the modded Scenic shifters is the control weights are too light. So whilst they don’t rattle and the shifter height is good, theyre too light to use and don’t feel right to me. I’ve tried something else with mine today but nit driven yet. Will report back tomorrow. 😏

1.5kg of lead shot. NMB ABT12 bearing in the tower. OEM rubber boot over the linkage arm to gearbox packed with heavy grease. That’s about as good as you’ll get it Russ.

Mine are driven from a Focal Impulse 4.320 Amp. The amp is tiny and fits in the palm of your hand yet chucks out a massive 320w RMS!!

Replaced the temporary M8 seat fasteners today with some M10s and new cup washers. Small detail, big difference. :)

If you haven't ordered the damper covers yet, the Motamec ones i have had on for the last 18 months have been excellent and my ASTs are as mint as the day i fitted them. :)
