I got a Harvey’s drinks cabinet - a good 2 metres long in the back of my 850 T5 on its back. Mental. Was actually really quite nice to drive. Probably one of the better cars I’ve owned. And the bloody cheapest at about £250 if that from memory. I’d quite happily have a banana R if they were cheap.
I rented space in a barn with a floor of bone dry compacted scalpings or whatever it's called. You could put a car in there and within a few weeks it would look like that due to the dust being carried in the wind through the hit and miss cladding.
Found a photo of a car that I’d cleaned ready...
I bought a corded Dremel 3000 (entry end) for £30 from B&Q a few years ago. Often deals about if you aren't in any rush.
Having had a cheapy version in the past, the variable speed setting makes it much more versatile.
I'll be honest though, I very rarely use it. There's often a better tool...
Went with a friend once to ask a farmer if a Mk1 fiesta that was rotting in his front garden was for sale. Had been there for ages.
It wasn’t. He said had no interest in it, but wouldn’t sell it. Didn’t explain why and didn’t appreciate the interest
To prevent us asking again he made it clear...
KTec ones are just rebranded Raceland coilovers. I’d spend the extra money personally, unless you purely want them for lows and aren’t worried about handling
I need to do some floor plan drawings and elevations for a garage build. What (free) cad software would people recommend which is suitable for such a task? Only needs to be 2D
I’m after some guidance on suggested products based on your own experience.
I have bought an entry level dual action polisher Clicky
I have an old 306 with flat white paint - it’s not clear coated.
What pads and product would people recommend to bring some shine back?
I have some Autoglym...
I have a similar drill attachement one from RS components. Never really used it other than the test on sheet metal I had kicking around to test it, but it gave a decent cut concidering.
