The free motoring club which any customer can now sign up for has the same discount as the trade card now does it not? 10% across the board I believe whereas years ago the trade card offered some decent discounts for bulbs, oils and tools etc.
I have. Something comparable is over £200 and is supplied with just 6.5mm thick board.
We actually have some Link51 Longspan at work which is a tad tall at 6 metres or something silly, and are deeper than I’d like - but you’ve given me a thought.
The uprights are bolted together so could be...
Looking for recommendations for reasonably priced heavy duty racking systems.
I want to store a fair amount of weight in large containers so I have dismissed the entry level angle iron clip together shelving. Often advertised as holding ~200kg per shelf but having experienced some similar with...
Went for a 2.8mm Hilook Colorvu camera with the white LED for coloured night images. Held my previous camera up to where I want to position the new one and there are naturally some blind spots. The field of view on the previous one is similar to a 2.8mm lens so a move to 4mm would create even...
Went for a POE NVR in the end.
Dilemma now is which lens size to go for, 2.8 or 4mm. Will be positioned under a garage soffit so only ~2.5m from the ground and not sure whether a 2.8mm lens would be too wide angled.
@Sidnancy are yours the blue ones or black ones? Black ones have larger metal castors whereas these are small nylon ones to prevent marking the floor (epoxy). I wonder if these smaller ones are even more likely to drag.
Meh, brute force will prevail.
Anyone on here use these wheel dollies? SGS clicky
I'm looking to store an immobile vehicle as tight up against a wall where it will stay sat in these for the long term. I won't be leaving any room to get down the side to jack up and remove so they will stay in situ under the wheels so I can...
I need to replace an existing camera. I have been using a cheapy wifi camera with SD card and mobile app to view both live and recordings. It’s done the job to a reasonable standard. The infrared lighting has now failed hence time for a replacement. I don't want to pay more than a couple of...
What do people use to remove surface rust from tools and stuff?
I had a lovely vice that was briefly stored outside under cover briefly. A cover that blew off in the wind allowing it to get wet in the rain. Ffs.
When expecting the feel of excitement, but you feel nervous and apprehensive - trust those feelings.
Had you pushed against those feelings, you'd be sat looking out at it with buyers remorse today I am sure.
Don't be like Matthew.
Blimey I don’t think I could bring myself to spend £1500 in one go on storage. I am going to make do with piecemeal cabinets and racking for the foreseeable whilst I figure out what will work best in the space. I aspire to a clean solution like that and down the line as a treat I think it would...
I need ideas people - I want to buy stuff for my garage. Not necessarily tools, but items that make life easier and/or keep things tidy.
To give a flavour of what makes my my dingle tingle, I am ordering a holder whatsit for boxes of disposable gloves and possibly a wall mounted blue roll...
Unfortunately these days like a lot of these brands adding their name to items sourced from all over, the likes of SGS spec stuff down to a price bearable to their target market IME.
Whilst some will offer varying levels of quality depending on budget, others don't offer that choice.
It's...
The cheaper hollow backed stuff will be more susceptible to indents from Jack wheels and etc but the solid stuff shouldn’t be too bad.
It’s the interlocking that puts me off. Eyes are drawn to it in the light and if not completely smooth beneath the lugs raise and show even more.
It’s in the...
I use one of the original GoPro roll bar mounts with the 2 screws. A quick search suggests they replaced it with a new single screw version at a much higher price. There appear to be copies of the original for less than a tenner though.
The fronts are supposed to be 260 lbs/in and the rears 335 lbs/in, but I'm not convinced and would take that with a pinch of salt if comparing it against alternative sets.
