My last project was a 205 GTi6, swapping the engine, building the loom, etc. Took 3 days plus a few hours to mate the loom. Sadly, with kids, spending hours in the garage is now an hour here & there so this kind of project would take months!

If the bottom pulley is changed, it's belts again isn't it? So any decent garage would inspect condition when doing the belts?

Again who did your belts and did they replace the aux kit?

Who did your belt change? Local garage or specialist? The aux kit is meant to be changed at the same time as failure of the aux belt can cause cam belt failure

With an ECU, they can fetch about £1800 or less. The ECU will be mapped for a Clio and just need altering to suit your car

Watch for second hand ones, they can be had much cheaper than new
