Keeping ABS on 182 with mk3 rear setup??

Also bought some m10 1.25 thread bolts that will need to be cut down to length. If you were on a 172 cup setup it would just bolt straight on.

Keeping ABS on 182 with mk3 rear setup??

Bought some 197 calipers to refurb but thats it so far. If you can weld its simple (I cant). Weld 182 abs ring onto mk3 discs and make a bracket for the abs sensor that bolts to where the rivets originally hold the disc guard on.

    In 5 years time

I see mine as a way to take years off my life, like smoking a bit, but weaving and crashing down the road instead and looking like a t**t doing so

    Tyre recommendation

I dont find tram lining a problem with mine, 16mm spacers with oem wheels. Just hold the wheel tight, unless theres loads of play in the steering it shouldnt wonder should it? :giggle:

@Eddie555 Do you run an arb or beam strengthening? I went for 110 rear and I dont think I could go lower as the roll stiffness is just right, I think I said that when they were set fully soft it was like a boat

High performance pads that still cope on the road.

I remember fitting some new std brembo pads to the rear a while back, I take it they also have that bedding in layer that has loads of bite as the braking felt superb for about 30 miles  Im going to go 197 calipers (38mm bore) with pagid rs-4-2 on the rears. Also ever so slightly...

My 182ff track car build (so far)

I cant comment on having cold semi slicks on the back but mine is not twitchy at all. The whole car becomes loose near the limit not just the rear or front.. (Private roads) Granted Im 1060kg half tank of fuel with me edit: 1060+70kg (me)! But I think Im 6-7 clicks from soft on the rears, if I...

630lb rear springs and 510 front on mine, balance was perfect.. Needs new tyres and to get the extra track back on the rear though.

Will you run an arb as well? I know some people just use the strengthening plates

What about correctly mounted harness + neck brace + no cage ?

High performance pads that still cope on the road.

Do you have brake ducts/no fogs? I had my fogs out for a short while and they wanted to squeal more

High performance pads that still cope on the road.

The ds1.11 can be virtually silent and have been for me, but as I said if you feather them and put a bit of heat into them, followed by road driving they squeal. Just brake heavy every stop problem solved ;)

    Seat belt colour

172 are all black, I put black in the fronts on mine looks okay

High performance pads that still cope on the road.

The ds1.11 havnt crumbled in mine for daily use, so far. I was asking questions on pads a bit ago, as they are a very good pad but need a bit of up keep, if you feather the brakes in traffic everywhere the discs start to lose the pad deposit.
