Can I just say a massive, MASSIVE thank you to everyone who came this weekend.
I could never have done all that myself, and I really do; sincerely, appreciate the work everyone out in this weekend.
Especially as it seemed most of the time I was the spanner monkey. Haha!
Was great seeing...
Black series will be harder iirc, but how much difference that makes I don't know.
Also try Larkspeed as I've often found their pricing best. There or eBay.
Engine is out and on a crate. We couldn't figure out how to get it on the engine stand. Lol.
Unfortunately Scrooge couldn't make it, but we got the shocks built up ready and I've made a start cleaning the engine bay.
Ali got his rear ARB fitted, dan's just finishing off fitting his wings and...
Unfortunately I've not had time to make cookies, but my chocolate & vanilla marble cake will make an appearance.
Tea, Coffee, Bacon butties for lunch. Some soft drinks and I have cider. Any preference on beers?
If you're staying over, a duvet would be a good shout. I've got a double airbed, 2...
Right then boys and girls. Do we have any firm numbers yet?
Ideally like to know how many are staying the night, and how much Bacon and rolls I need to buy in.
I don't know off the top of my head I'm afraid. They're the Megane Nervasport alloys though. You should be able to find the info with that name hopefully.
I'm also running spacers as well, as the wheels sit too far back in the arch otherwise.
I'm running 17's on my mk3 DCI, on coilovers (40mm drop roughly).
I'm actually swapping back to the standard 15's because the roads are just that bad now.
So further to my earlier post, and looking round the car, the list is a bit shorter now:
Front and rear brakes - both sets of brakes look useable. I've got brand new fronts (Xmas present), but I'll ask the experts when they arrive as to what they think. Fluids a defo.
Shocks, springs, top...
They'll go lower. I've not slammed it as the ride is harsh on the 17's and I wanted to retain suspension travel for our horrible roads, and for using it on track.
Got a host of parts arriving.
Today is thermostat, top mount kit, top shock rubbers, battery cable, connectors and catch tank
Also have my clamping tool.
Welcome to the forum Scampy. Dependant on where you are in Warks, there's meets up in Birmingham with the West Mids guys, and you're more than welcome to the Oxfordshire meets too (Kidlington).
