So had a few more bits and pieces arrive this week.
I'm ditching the xenons (partly because one didn't work, and the lack of headlight washers), so purchased some TYC halogen headlights. Not bad for £60 for the pair.
Also got a sunstrip, continuing the green theme.
And a few cans of green...
Well, as expected the camera that clammed to be an sjcam was indeed a pile of poop. Got a full refund though, and they even let me keep it. Oh joy.
Brother then found a proper sjcam on eBay and got it for £17!
Proper one this time, brand new.
Yeah, I've removed mine completely, and no, you shouldn't get any fuel leak. The breather has a one-way valve (inwards).
I've then removed the pipe from the inlet breather, and replaced it with a silicone end cap (12mm) and a jubilee clip...
I have ditched mine for my tack car.
Firstly, there is a pipe which goes all the way back to the fuel tank. I have cut this near the tank, and put a valve on it (so it can still vent). I have this:

Then for the wiring...
Very first phone was some Motorola brick thing. Not too dissimilar to this:
I had the usual nokias: 3210, 3310, 8210
I had one of these badboys too. A Nokia 5510:
I remember that phone well, as I was at 6th form and had a Suzuki Intruder 125 at the time. I also remember going to town one...
Soooo close now, but up the unit Monday night and the power blew in the unit. Literally 15mins of welding on the cage left, along with the seat rails and last harness plates.
I can't help with the other questions, but the one on the far left goes to the carbon cannister.
I've removed mine, and have blanked that hole with a silicone end cap.
2 panels. Like Rob said, in the grand scheme of things it won't be a huge amount of weight.
I've just pulled the headlining out, and it did pull a chunk of the sound deadening off with it. Otherwise unless you're looking to make up a second on your laps, I'd leave it be.
Then again, I might...
Yup, should be a genuine one.
Just have to make sure it's the 1080p as there's quite a few 720p versions kicking around.
They're so cheap now because of the newer 4K and wifi versions.

Yeah, take your time masking stuff off
I painted mine with the head on the block.
Only took the inlet manifold, injector guard and some other bits off.
Should be some pics in my project thread.
Not long at all. Can't remember exactly but I think you only leave it on for about 15-30mins before washing it off.
Get a load of cheap wire brushes, some flathead screwdrivers and some soft brushes (like a thin paintbrush or detailing brush) to remove the excess rust and dirt.
