Didn't bother with gaskets lol, hi temp silicone has worked for long enough, its only blowing now due to the fact i keep hitting speed bumps with it and caused it to move
Lol its still just sat there but i need to pull my finger out and get shot of it along with what ever other daft bits got left off the ph1, mines got a slight blow from cat 2 center section so going to jack it up tomorrow and stick some HI-Temp silicone on it and then probs change the oil if i...
also check that both arch's have a rolled lip on them as mine doesn't on the OS but does the NS.. every other clio i've checked is both like rolled up overs inside the arch but mines just like a sharp edge thus why its catching the tyre wall on mine
mine scrubbed inside the NS arch, fitted 16mm spacers and now fouls the OS arch, sliced nicely into my sidewall but also my arch isn't right on the OS, arch roller will sort the job for me though
Arr s**t didn't realise this was today, I'd of been well up for a 'spirited' drive... Sod it I'l have a drive over Hartside later when it's quietened down abit
Had a look at these at Autosport at beginning of this year, the rubber felt quite soft and the tread pattern did look quite good, tried to get prices off Nankang and they just kwpt saying he didn't know @ the time
Ii Neil sorted me right out like, brought mine down by around 450ish from renewal price + the mods side of it is ideal as is the track insurance.
Just do the plans like I'm doing and not say what you're doing to it like I have, as you know this last 2/3weeks has been some spending for me but my...
Chris u just need to get a diesel barge and be done with clio's, you never keep them in 1 piece for long or the car so they're just not the car for you anymore haha the amount of times you've put up future plans and then you sell lol, just get a VRS/Cupra and be done with it
My missus is on her 5th within 6 month's orange just keep sending a new one out so she's now buying out her contract and got a Galaxy S4 sat right next to me for her
OP I'll reply later when I het in from work as some ppl have more things to do than sit onhere through the day, also BlackGolds comment I actually went out in his car with that kit fitted, his felt stiff but un even clicks on the dampers won't have helped but I can say this it still handled as I...
I have dealt with Dan numerous times as he's the closest specialist to me and with only been 15 mins down the road why go anywhere else.
I'm not saying Dan has more say in the matter than SPAX i'm just saying he'd of been very helpful in the matter of sorting the problem for you.
Re: CHIPS...
ouch!!!, i removed them and just took the disc direct to Tom @ Wests after i'd called and mentioned the issue, that's the problem with other Renault places as they'll just be wanting to get out of it where as Tom wanted to help out as much as he could
also as the product was designed as a Trackday kit it would suggest to me that they wouldn't be the best choice for the road as Track/Road is completely different for conditions of use
As Dan Mallett has shown his are still fine which will have done quite a few road miles now without any issues...
i read your thread which got locked with the issues you suffered with and no i don't agree with how its been dragged out but didn't they say about exchanging the rear shockers to you which you weren't happy with and wanted a full refund?
All they had to do was offer the exchange unit at 1st...
Don't get me wrong i did it in the past on my cred card but i wouldn't do it for something like this, something you NEED YES something you want NO but that's just the way i am
Just to add why would Spax want to liaise with you when you're not actually their customer? So that point i can fully agree with Spax not wanting to deal with you as to them your just a 3rd party
soo basically the finance company are just telling you the're chasing it up etc when in reality its probs only when you ring for updates that they'll contact Spax, they won't be that bothered either i shouldn't think as after all you're in an agreement with them to pay the finance.
Tbh if you...
seen the revised design personally this evening, as Dan has said they now come with a boot and no helper spring which was the cause of the rattle at lower speeds.
OP correct me if i'm wrong but didn't you purchase these on finance? and were originally trying to get a refund which of course...
i only noticed it as i was blowing up my tyre's lol, just had to buy new discs from ECP as i needed it sorting there and then and didn't want to drive any further on them, Tom looked at the disc and then went and spoke to the warranty guys and 5 mins later i was walking out with a new set
rear lamp will be easy to sort, take it off clean the contacts up and bend the metal pins on the loom abit so it contacts better, had this problem myself
