i had 1 do the exact same thing last year, took them off and took them in 2 Tom as he was still doing it back then and they exchanged it there and then for a new set
Shame about the car
Seems to me that these (Action) days are just full of bellends who just want to rag a car for 15mins or so to say they've been around a certain track
i'd go with handbrake catching then tbh mate as said i had it happen before but mine got bad rather quickly and used to lock the rear wheel under heavy braking
Hopefully getting another car towards the end of the year and doing some trackdays so this would just be a w.end/track toy as I originally planned on a Evo as a w.end toy and the cup as a daily but depending on the outcome of something I'm now waiting to hear the cup will be getting left as is...
i WON a pair of pair of ScratchShield Buckets & Grit guards a while back from I4detailing, don't bother with the grit guards as i find the feet/legs or whatever you want to call them come off
No way would i pay the silly money wash buckets go for
was thinking of doing it properly with weld i n rails so i can get them exactly where i need them, as you'll know i'd need it quite far back as i have the standard seat as far back as it will go, i know they seemed too close in your BG that had the Monaco's in and can remember you saying about...
As above i'm thinking of removing my rear seats and going for a set of buckets and harnesses but due to the fact i'l drive the car to the North East i need something that's not going to break my back within 80miles, Been looking at Bimarco Futura's, Sparco Evo 2, Sparco Rev, Cobra Monaco and OMP...
spent another £70 on a new Heaters resistor & Number plate lamp holder.. around £900 ish up to now this month just on PARTS!! and still got a few more bits and bobs i want lol
if you want to i suppose but i personally would just put new mounts on but its your money and car so its entirely up to you, seen so many 1*2's getting money spent left right and center on mods and then things like exhaust mounts are shagged/bodged with sockets etc.. Maintenance and then mods for me
don't do flipping pikey repairs, just buy whole new mounts or as said by Steve the Prima Racing mounts, they don't break the bank so don't get why so many people pikey it with tie wraps and sockets etc
know the feeling on building site grime, been living in this house since March 2010 and its still got a year or 2 yet before they're done, cleaned today dirty tomorrow
