I might contact 3M and see if they can custom cut some stick on cutouts for the Clio, I suspect given that it's such a common problem there might be a fair bit of interest in just sticking on some pre-cut protection...?
I might TBH and just get some blanks fitted. Will improve the 'sleeper' look from the front at least. It's my daily drive and does 70 mile daily trip. My 23 year old 205 is still on it's original driving lamps with not a single chip, Clio ones must be made of sugar glass.
R222 wax is good but not the best longevity. Collinite 845, gives a nice shine with decent duration and Wolf's body wrap has the best duration. Like others have said though much is key to prep and removing swirls etc from the laquer, which requires using a DA. With darker colours you can...
Just replacing a fog light AGAIN after being smashed by a stonechip. Is there any decent fog lamp protection you can get as it seems to be a real weak point on the Clio? A mate has a Civic with perspex cutouts that protect the lenses, is there anything similar for the Clio?
Ha! A lot of the time I think the confusion comes from what a manufacturer states in a book released when new and what subsequently is found best practice over time.
I had all the belts changed on my 182 at c38,000k I've now passed the 72,000k mark and I'm slightly confused from various posts if the cambelt needs doing every 36,000k or if it's just the aux belt that needs doing and the cambelt is fine for X years and till 114k?
Also if it is just the aux...
Hi all,
I'm doing an item for a TV feature which will have a buyer's guide from some used Renaultsport cars -
R5 GT Turbo
Megane 230
Clio 200
Does anyone know common things to look out for on these or even better if you're a specialist can I give you a bell to talk it through?
Cheers!
I would love some s*itty steelies, I love how sleeper the car is in Silver, shame the exhausts give a bit of the game away. 172 on steelies would be a great sleeper.
Not in stock at the moment but these look ok at £75 a corner...

Yep, I used to live out in the sticks nr Chipping Norton and you basically HAD to have them if you wanted to go anywhere - no gritters etc. Got some funny looks from all the L200 driving Farmers seeing this old 306 driving around in the snow! I'll have a look round for smaller rims - any you can...
Hi all - I'm based in Worcester and I've had my 182 FF since around February. Awesome car.
Getting towards Winter now and I'm looking to get a decent winter wheel/tyre package - Does anyone know of a good combination? I had Goodyear Ultragrip 8 on my old 306 and served me very well though 2...
Thanks for the buying advice etc guys it was very helpful. I picked up the 182 yesterday seems to be very tidy. I'll get some decent pics up when the weather is better! The car even came with a Clio Sport folder and locking wheel nut holder so he's a previous member from here.
Cheers I had heard that most by now will have aftermarket backbox as the factory one is heavy and a bit crap as it rots. As long as it's not too loud it won't bother me!
Afternoon all,
I love my hot hatches and currently have a 306 and 205 GTi, I'm looking at adding to the collection by getting a Clio 182 'full fat' and I'm off to look at one this weekend. I have seen the buyers guide and had a good read through it and I was just wondering if there is anything...
